The Kestrel II Dreadnought is a complete overhaul of the Kestrel Battleship. When Smaller, more efficient designs began to take over the role of the Kestrel in battles, it was eventually retired. However, recent efforts have revived the Kestrel, taking old hulls and completely stripping them of everything, except the outer shell. What comes after is all but an entirely new ship. The Kestrel II may look very much like its predecessor, but inside it is something completely different

However, like the first Kestrel, the Kestrel II has the same battle focus - to enter a fight and endure until the end. The Kestrel II has the thickest armor of any current Phoenix Fleet Systems ship. Its reactors are split into four different areas on different parts of the ship, with a minimum of 2 layers of heavy armor protecting them, with as much as 4 layers in other spots. Its ammunitions containers are similarly armored, and are in 3 main, separated sections throughout the ship. The connector system for the Kestrel II is vast, and filled with tons of redundancy. Maintenance areas allow crews to access almost any part of the ship at any time to perform quick repairs. All of this combines to make a ship that is not only highly durable, but able to keep going even after what should be fatal hits are inflicted.

A full coating of heavy armor protects almost every spot of the interior, in order to help protect against boarding craft. Similarly, the engines are surrounded by heavy armor cages in order to prevent them being destroyed and then small fighters making their way in through the holes. There is also a Interior Defense System to protect the most vulnerable or important areas.

In the way of offense, the Kestrel II is also not lacking. It boasts more weapons than any other Phoenix Fleet Systems ship, with an impressive broadside of turrets and rocket launchers. It also features 4 Railgun Turrets for sniping and ship disabling ability. Finally, Its hangar allows the Kestrel II to host a squadron of fighters that compensate for the lack of manueverability of the ship.

Like the original Kestrel, the Kestrel II is also heavily inspired by the Amarr Apocalypse from EVE

To help navigate the ship, many doors and ladders are colored using the system below. Note also that certain areas may be marked one or two areas out of their immediate vicinity, depending on their importance.

Light Blue - Bridge
Dark Blue - Officer Quarters
Light Green - Crew Quarters
Dark Green - Turret Control Room
Red - Reactor Room
Gold/Orange - Maintenance Area
Yellow - Hangar
Black - Entrance/Exit
Purple - Med Bay

ive subscribed to this craft but for some reason no matter what i do it doesnt show up in my blueprint menu do you have any idea whats going on?

I think massive ships are impractical in the game because of the lack of massive weapons. Nothing else.
