Monopolist Crisis Path

Description
Monopolist is a new player crisis path exclusive to Megacorps which focuses on taking over the galactic market by any means.

You can find more details on the Crisis Path and its Perks here.

Requirements
  • Requires the Megacorp DLC
  • Requires either the Nemesis or the Machine Age DLC

Important Notes
This mod is still in development and I intend to continue to update it based on feedback I receive.
This crisis path is not currently available to empires with the Criminal Heritage civic. I might look into making a variant that they can use but for now I want to focus on improving and polishing what I have currently.
The Opulence Cargo Ship's unique ability can be queued up but it won't display the movement path until the order reaches the top of the queue.

AI Notes
The AI can take this Crisis Path but only if no other empire is currently pursuing it.
The AI cannot use the Opulence Cargo Ship's unique ability, but I have implemented a special project to allow them to simulate its use.

Credits
Several of the assets used in this mod were taken from the shared-art channel on the Stellaris Modding Den discord server.
Thanks to CaelReader on the Stellaris Modding Den for converting a lot of the Stellaris wallpapers into event pictures, two of which I've used in this mod being GFX_evt_casino and GFX_evt_mega_sermon.
Also thanks to Metallichydra from the Stellaris Modding Den for making an empty Crisis Perk Icon which I used as the template for all the Crisis Perk Icons in this mod.

I don't currently have an estimate for when I'll have an update ready.

Not trying to add to the endless flood of "update???" comments, updating to 4.0 is a nightmare and you're doing unpaid labor, so I salute you, just wondering if you have an estimate for when it might be updated? Just trying to decide if its worth waiting for this one before starting my next megacorp playthrough

I'm working on an update, but almost everything works differently to how it did in 3.14 so it might be a while before I have it ready.

Cool mod in concept for sure. Haven't tried it but saw it in action.

Making the galaxy depend on your resources, and going into total economic collapse if they break pacts with you is very capatalist.

But I do feel like there should be some kind of events that actually put pressure on other empires and push some of the, perhaps less friendly empires and megacorps that instantly understand what you are doing, and start some push back- economically or militarily.

wow, this mod is actually really well done. kudos!
