Video Game Consoles Addon - More NES Games B42 Reupload

Description
Only working for Build 42! For Build 41 subscribe to the original mod!
>>> Addon for the Video Game Consoles mod by 🍎Spicy_Apples🍎 <<<

This is a Build 42 port of the Video Game Consoles Addon - More NES Games mod by eric1894.

I have ported eric1894's mod for Build 42. I have left it as original as can be. Only the changes needed for Build 42 were made as well as a few adjustments to distributions to accommodate B42's rarer loot spawns.

If or when the original author, eric1894, decides to update his mod for the newest build of Project Zomboid and/or has any reservations about me reuploading this mod I will delete this mod.

This mod adds 55 more NES games, for a grand total of 60.
The mod is lore accurate, meaning you'll only find games released in North America before July 1993.

The mod uses 5 dummy items for distribution that, when spawned, get replaced by one of the 60 games. So the loot chance is still the same, meaning you won't have more NES games spawning - there will just be a much greater variety of games.

Hey!! If I wanted to make my own add-on like this, using my own roms how would I do this? What process should I follow?

so this happens for all of the addons i get errors/exception thrown when getting close to the big
produce warehouses near farm locations other than that the mods seem to be working fine

For Build 41 there are existing addons for NES and Game Boy games: here is the NES one and here the one for Game Boy

I have ported the NES one for Build 42. The Game Boy one will come soon.

You still can subscribe to the original B41 addons if you're playing on Build 41.

For the SNES addon, I have made it from the ground up in January 2025, when Build 42 came out. There was no existing B41 version because I started work on it when B42 came out. Making it Build 41 compatible would mean alot of busy-work, just for an outdated version of the game that soon will become obsolete.

Just curious, is there any particular reason that the addons for the videogame mod are B42 only?

@Aria The Fox, yeah i will use the debug mode to spawn back some games and consoles if i can remember them haha, but its not a problem i like to collect them anyway as soon as the mod works again :) And thank you for your modding work and giving us more fun while playing :)

Oh word, good to know :) danka

Debug mode can only spawn what is existing in the mod files. The updated mod files do not have the games anymore, so you can't spawn them in, they simply don't show up in the item list.

@jack Danyal may i suggest using a debug mod to spawn the ones the got despawned? It's my go too when things like this happen as i use 100+ mods on average
