Description
The Árvakr-class MK2 Combat-Patrol Corvette is a heavily armed, jump-capable Fast Attack Craft by Valkyrja - Maintenance & Engineering.

Expanding on the capabilities of the MK1, the Árvakr MK2 comes at a higher displacement, incorporating more thrusters, weapons and armor.
The ship is equipped to produce it's own fuel, spare parts and ammunition. This allows the vessel to partake in Deep Space patrols and recon-missions.

Further quality-of-life updates include better interior facilities, as well as script-less Airlocks and auto-close doors.

Ready to oppose stronger vessels, the Árvakr is shaped around a nose-authority style of combat, making use of 3 railguns and multiple Artillery turrets in a superfiring layout, to take down hostile warships.

The Árvakr-class is approved for planetside landing and operations.


This item is survival-ready! It is fully conveyor-linked, thruster-damage compatible and uses no mods and no subgrids! Various DLC-blocks are installed. Spawning this blueprint without the required DLCs will require the user to exchange some blocks to archive airtightness.


Author's note
The MK1 Arvakr - aka "Morrigan at home" - has been my regular vessel for Survival for about two years now. Over the time I have started to include blocks from newer updates to it and started to apply additional armor. Eventually I also applied ideas from my Alsvidr-build to it.

The weapons-layout favours an aggressive playstyle, allowing you to keep railguns and turrets nose-hot on target, while using upthrust for evasion. Keep your dampeners off and upthrust at full throttle, while performing a slow-roll[en.wikipedia.org] towards your target. Don't roll to fast or you will overcompensate and lose your momentum.
Lock on your target with the railguns and use copy-target to fire from a safe distance at about 1km+ to comfortably dodge enemy counterfire.

You can try to select all block in the control panel (including the invisible ones) via Crtl+a and transfer ownership to you, if possible. But the easiest way to debug this would be by going into the admin panel (Alt+F10), enable creative tools, then look at the ship, Cut (Crtl+x) and Repaste (Ctrl+v) it back in and then try to convert it. Don't forget to disable Creative tools afterwards.

It is generally recommended that you build your ship on a separate grid. This is easy enough to archive by building a rotor (make sure it is locked) on the station and place the projector on it's head. This way you have an individual grid, but still get power transferred from the station.

When you split a grid, the one with the larger block count will be considered the main grid - so the ship likely took the name of the station as it had more blocks than said station, when you separated it.

The "convert to ship" button being grayed out can have multiple reasons. Either you don't have ownership of the grid, or it is merged with some voxels. Or it simply bugged out due to the forced separation.

Hello Taidyr, thank you for your answer, and i think you did nail it. I did build a small station in the space, put an projector on it, build the ship. After i was done i removed the projector and disconnected the ship from the grid. The ship now has the grid name of my small space station, the space station has an random name. But both buttons on the info panel (convert to ship and convert to station) are greyed out.

@Tubben: This can be caused by have multiple things. Can you see the thrusters firing when you try to lift off? Are the connectors and magnetic plates all disconnected? Has the ship been turned to a station, either by accident or by clipping into voxels?

Thats a nice looking ship. I started play recently and after reaching space in found your ship and start to build it. Now i am done, but i guess i am to dumb to fly it. The batteries have energy there is uran in the reactors and the hydrogen tanks are full. But how do you fly it? ;-) I thought you have to sit in the pilot chair, switching to the camera and then you could fly it like any other ship. But this dont work. I know i do something wrong, but what?
