Susceptible Addon - Restore Filters

Description
The ability to restore used filters.

If you're here, it's easy to assume you enjoy difficulty increase.
Sometimes you find yourself trapped in bad place-bad time scenarios, with an unexpected "Here They Come!" horde of "The Last of Us Infected" closing down on you, escape not being so easy because someone "Barricaded World" barricaded the outside of the window you needed to escape through. That's fine, theres probably an escape one floor above you. But is there time? You only have 2 filters on you (thanks insanely rare loot). All of these "Susceptible Corpses" from your clear are eating away at the filters integrity, the infected swarming aren't helping either. You manage to escape but.. its too late. Your filters ran out, now you're infected.
Just me? Probably not.

This mod allows you to restore used filters
I made this for personal use, the niche I mentioned above needed filling.
Now I will share it with you.
It's not too easy, nor impossible.
But at least now you have the option to restore them so you will never be unprepared.
Maintaining grants first aid exp.

Could you make the level of Maintenance/First Aid a sandbox option?
Also I think it'd be neat if without the required levels you can still do a few steps, restoring the filter but giving it a cap of the zombies it can deal with like a cloth mask until properly fixed

I would highly recommend tailoring instead! But I won't tell you how to make your mod. Thanks for the guidance.

There isn't another skill category that would make sense for knowing the importance of each part of a filter, what it does, and how to maintain them. Medical knowledge isn't exclusive to wound management. But if you're adamant on removing the requirement, "SteamLibrary/steamapps/workshop/content/108600/3324851262/mods/Susceptible Addon Restore Filters/media/scripts/RestoreFilters_Recipes" open the txt file, delete the "SkillRequired:Maintenance=2;Doctor=3," lines from all the recipes, Save.

Is there a way to remove the medical level requirement? I hardly see how proficiency in stitching and bandaging cuts and wounds is more important than being able to handle fabrics and materials.

first aid 3 is kind of a funny requirement
pick doctor or stand on glass (nurse is still useless)

xDDD you're fine. You'd be surprised how many aren't aware charcoal crafting is in the base vanilla game.

I did but I am dumb and I know it. I'm just making sure everyone else knows too.

Did you read the description

I think I've found maybe two or three bags of charcoal in my 2k hours playing Zomboid lol. There are mods to make it craftable I guess, but maybe you could consider adding a recipe to your mod?
