I'd probably want to create a race of Necroid/ Undead clone soldiers wearing WWII era US uniforms which resemble some of Zdzisław Beksiński's paintings, who was known for creating surreal, macabre worlds.
I am just putting this out here before it just disappears from my mind, it would definitely be something unique and a great audition to your other cool species.

Sorry for assuming it was yours etiluos
Took a look at them and cant find a issue with it with new games or at the selection screen for those species. Could be a issue with save states after the game update making changes.
Depends does the DLC / update breaks the mod? if not the mod will work just fine, it wont fall apart if a text file doesn't say the latest version. I got to many mods to be updating just a text file, I will only update if something is broken that keeps this from being playable.
