Description
Matrioshka Brain Origin for Gigastructural Engineering (3.12)

This is an update to Matrioshka Brain Start.

Note: This mod would only receive minimal maintenance unless there is a major revision on Matrioshka Brain again.

Russian Translation

This Origin allows you to start on an industrial segment of a damaged Matrioshka Brain. Your population that dwells in virtual worlds for unknowable time has been ejected into reality, seeing your entire life was a lie, what would be your fate amongst the stars?

Because Matrioshka Brain Ring Segments were scrapped and never designed to be self-sufficient, and for the Origin to work I have restored and overhauled those segments and their districts into where a fledgling empire can start without issues.

Matrioshka Brain Segment Overhaul
To restore and for this Origin to work, the Matriosha Brain Ring Segments were overhauled.
  • Restored Reality Stimulator and Industrial Segment (Hardware Manufactory).
  • Matrioshka Brain Ring Segments will not limit the growth of biological pops and have higher population growth and assembly to other planets.
  • Resource and Industrial Districts are regulated to Hardware Manufactory. You can get energy, mineral, food, alloy, goods and rare resources from this segment.
  • Advanced and Abstract Districts are regulated to Reality Stimulator. You can get research, unity, amenities and many beneficial effects from this segment.
  • Added an asteroid belt in system_initializer to make the system bigger (for flavor, this does not have any impact on gameplay otherwise)
  • Restored Matrioshka Brain will use the same inline_script as revised B Class Matrioshka Brain.
  • Added 20 pops to your starting segment.
  • Overwrote a small part of Gigastructural Engineering's scripted_trigger to include Matrioshka Brain Ring Segment as habitable_structure.

Matrioshka Brain Small Addition
Alongside overhauling Matrioshka Brain Ring Segments to get to functional state, I added a small mechanic solely for the empire with this Origin as a small bonus of uniqueness.
  • Added Digital Elysium, a gaming arcology enables two jobs - Game Master and Non-Player Character based on unique jobs of Disinterested Gamers, due to the similarity of this Origin's history and the said Fallen Empire.
  • Digital Elysium can be built each on a planet and only exists for an empire with this Origin and would be destroyed when their planet is occupied by an empire does not have this Origin.
  • Game Master and Non-Player Character have variations for Regular Empires and Gestalt Empires.
  • For Regular Empires, Game Master boosts the experience gain of leaders, and Non-Player Character will boost the job production of Specialists and Workers by 1% each pop so long their happiness is above 80% (achievable but is hampered by default -20% happiness).
  • For Gestalt Empires, Game Master did the same role and Non-Player Characters will boost Complex Drones and Menial Drones job production by 1% for each pop since their default happiness is 50%.
  • Non-Player Character is an uncapped job, meaning unemployed pops should fill this job.

If you could guess from this section, I did planned for a more extensive overhaul. Specifically to create a "Matrioshka Gamer Origin" with self-sufficient districts and gaming-related jobs for hilarity.

Sadly, I lack the skill (to make a unique planet model and coding), time and commitment to go through such a major modification so I stuck with this only. I could have finished faster by using the Disinterested Gamers' capital system as a reference, but there is not much to work from regular Ring Worlds as an Origin.

Processing Segment was left out of the restoration because I felt two classes of segments should be enough, instead of complicating the distribution of districts.

I used the same inline_script as B Class Matriohska Brain from Giga, so unless there is a change in the main mod, otherwise, whether you have should allow you to fix the Brain in your system.

maybe dumb question, but how do i get the matrioshka back online? i have all the relevant prereqs for building new ones but there's no option to fix it :(

Could you please make it so it produces 5K of all types of Research & 15% Research speed like it used to before it got nerfed?
