Description
ICELAND (INGOLFUR ARNARSON)
Unique Trait: Age of Settlement
Earn Great Writer Points from settling cities. Cities settled on foreign continents start with a Monument and, if no nearby enemies, disband adjacent Melee, Recon, and Naval Units to create Farms or Fishing Boats.*
*Units must be stationed on a valid tile.

Unique Unit: Skald
The Skald is the unique Icelandic replacement for the Great Writer under Ingólfr Arnarson. This unit may be used to scout the oceans effectively, gaining additional Defense, Sight, and Movement whilst embarked, as well as being able to cross oceans immediately. It also has the ability to found new cities, but only on foreign landmasses.

Unique Building: Meadhall
The Meadhall is the unique replacement for the Amphitheater for Iceland under Ingólfr Arnarson. Unlike the Amphitheater, the Meadhall forms a City Connection with the Capital over water, boosting your Gold output. In addition, it increases the Food stored after growth by 5%, increasing to 15% if the Meadhall's Great Work of Writing slot is filled. Construct Meadhalls in your newly founded settlements to ensure they grow quickly.

  • Fixed issue where the GWPs from founding cities only applied to cities on foreign continents. Amount of GWPs you get is now based on the total Culture output divided by your number of cities. Removed GWP from discovering new Civilizations.
  • Removed the extra Population from founding a city on a foreign continent. Instead, all Melee or Recon Units adjacent to the city and not adjacent to an enemy unit are disbanded and a Farm is spawned in their place.
  • Thingstead is now replaced by the Meadhall, which increases the amount of Food stored after growth when it has a City Connection and increasing when its Great Work slot is filled.
  • Added unique background for the Skald Great Works.
  • Gave Ingolfur a German accent because Darth forced me to.
  • Fixed some TXT issues with the Skald Great Works.
  • Fixed issue with Skald music sting not working with their Great Work popup.
  • Removed the Tundra start bias.
  • Added new city list thanks to DarthKyofu. Capital is now Kjalarnes.
  • Updated Civ icon and colours thanks to DarthKyofu.
  • Various text, supports, and code standardizations/optimizations.
  • Fixed black outlines on Civ Icon and Unit Flag alphas (where applicable).
  • Fixed issue where the ambience in the leaderscene overwrote the music (where applicable).

i like the tundra/snow idea as well, also, is there a way to change the colours of the borders? its really hard to see them when you're zoomed out.

Can you add a little food/production bonus for cities settled on tundra/snow? On ynaemp maps and most importantly, Battle Royal MKII, the only tiles they can settle are those, and in real life they aren't doing bad up there. Idea: great writing works in cities on tundra/snow provide 3 food and 3 production.
