Ante Bellum: Devaraja

Description
[discord.gg]

When the Red Turban rebellion had subsided in China, it left the two Yuan commanderies in Southeast Asia paralyzed and uncertain about their future, cut off from their benefactor in Beijing. The ancient empires of Khmer and Champa continue to feud with each other now that the Mongol threat has receded, and countless princes along Southeast Asia's great rivers clash for supremacy over Burma and Indochina. The Kings of Myinsaing currently hold sway over the Irrawaddy, though many of their subjects are only nominal, while Laos and Siam are divided between bickering princes. To any observer, the future of Southeast Asia seems rather uncertain, as new and old powers have emerged on this ancient stage to enact a very similar dance to the eras before this one. But whoever does come out on top, they will most surely be able to claim the title of Devaraja.

Devaraja is a submod for Parmelion's Ante Bellum mod, an Alternative History overhaul for Europa Universalis IV. This mod focuses on the regions of Burma and Indochina, and currently features playable content for Champa, Khmer, Zhengmian, Jiaozhi, and a handful of minor princes in Thailand and Lower Burma.

The mission jzi_kill_khmer appears to be bugged.

It says "At least 10 (currently: 0): The culture is Khmer"

I currently have exactly 10 Khmer provinces as cores, so I think the check is broken.

@Proventus Avenicci I'm not sure why Devaraja would not be compatible. Devaraja's scope is limited to Southeast Asia, and shouldn't conflict with Blood and Iron, which focused on the Holy Roman Empire. Regardless, if there's any bugs, feel free to let us know, and we'll get around to resolving them.

Oi, is this going to be made compatible with Blood & Iron ?

@Dovah We're not very keen on working through a backlog of prior work to ensure every mission is compatible with Trade Goods Expanded, or really any other mod that changes the game mechanics in such a manner. This is first and foremost a submod of Ante Bellum and compatibility with other mods that alter the vanilla experience isn't something we're interested in constantly maintaining. The typo, however, will be fixed, and I appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

The Khmer mission "Revitalize Production" specifically requires the presence of Grain provinces to be completed, but with Trade Goods Expanded, these provinces are replaced with other food goods, like Rice and Citrus. Would it be possible to add checks to the mission to account for these trade goods? If not, perhaps you could add alternate conditions for completion that don't require any specific trade goods?

There's also a typo in the mission tooltip. A space is missing in the sentence "Base Production at least 5" between "least" and "5".

@lustigersamurai This admittedly is not top priority since we'd still like to flesh out the bulk of the mod first, but I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We'll put it on the list of stuff to figure out as we work.

A few nations have no unique unit sprites assigned to them. Would it be possible to eventually have all new nations use the fitting unit sprites, such as in main Ante Bellum (even Ante Bellum has a few nations without unique unit sprites) and vanilla EU4?

@jonjowett Thank you again for the feedback, it has been useful. We've decided we still want to keep this relatively within the scope of Indochina, but we have made it so North Tenasserim, Central Tenasserim, and North Malaya are also eligible areas for the mission reward's effects. We have also updated the tooltip to reflect this.
