Clepathian Race

Description
Clepathians are an original species from my book series, the Eternal Crusade Continuum. These big-eared space rodents are making their way into Starbound! (Lore at the bottom)

This mod is "mostly complete", with almost everything ready and playable:
-New playable race
-Armors are modified versions of vanilla armors, mostly just having the boots removed and legs/helmets reshaped to fit them
-New cosmetic outfit, able to be chosen from the start.
-Some basic furniture
-Unique Ships with a sleek, smooth aesthetic: only 3 ships, but the starter ship is larger than other race's, being slightly bigger than a T4. T7 is also bigger than other race's T7's, but slightly smaller than other race's T8's. I believe it balances out in the long term.
-An NPC spawner to create villages/crew members
-A unique starter broadsword that is fully upgradeable
-Some unique racial descriptors/dialogue(still FAR from complete.)

Nothing super technical has been touched in the mod, most of it just being sprite work, so it should be compatible with most gameplay-changing mods I believe.

Things that are not included and probably never will be, simply because integrating them is beyond my capabilities(but hey, if anyone else wants to do it, be my guest):
-Adjustments to cosmetic items. There are simply too many for me to even consider trying to make them compatible, not to mention I am clueless as to how to make them "special-cased" so that they'd look right on Clepathians without changing them for other races.
-Unique racial quests. Not even sure where I'd begin with this one.
-Integration with the tenant system. The NPC spawner works fine and, imo, is a lot less annoying.
-Random NPC spawns/dungeons. Again, not even sure where to begin with this.
-Any gameplay quirky or different to other vanilla races.

Things I'd like to change in future updates:
-Unique mechs
-Respawn animation(somewhat unlikely since it's a LOT of frames to animate, and the software I'm comfortable with doesn't allow animations beyond 1 second without paying a huge amount to upgrade it. Otherwise it'd be top priority.)
-Unique pet
-Unique racial armors/weapons for crafting(planned for next update, at least T1 through T4, but I'd like to get them all done in one release)
-More racial descriptor entries
-Codex lore entry(done, but will be released in next update)
-Further refinements to the ships. They're pretty basic right now, lacking internal details, but the external details are finished. Clepathian ships are supposed to be smooth, almost seamless, on the exterior.

That said, anyone can feel free to take the mod and make their own edits to it. The only thing I ask to keep in mind is that Clepathians and the Eternal Crusade Continuum are solely my IP(which basically means not to claim them as your own creation, nor lie about who made them.) A little bit of lore for those interested:

Clepathians are a rodent-like species with large ears, dark fur, and big claws, hailing from the planet Celor. They have a regal society centered around both faith and science, with sleek and elegant aesthetics in everything they design, but were not always so peaceful, having a long history of warfare. Their males are known to be keen tacticians, with a mind for strategy and natural-born leaders, and their females being wise spiritual leaders and powerful mystics harnessing the fundamental energies of the universe. Though they are not the most advanced species in terms of engineering, their medical sciences are second to none, and such advancements have rendered them ageless once they reach maturity.

Clepathians also have two hearts, enabling them to endure physical exertion for long periods of time. Their claws are meant for thrusting, not slashing, and their feet are large and wide to support their denser mass, as their blood has a high concentration of very hot heavy metals: typically gold or silver. Though they all share similar faces, they tell each other apart by the sounds of voices and eye color. Even more odd is how their brains are arranged; instead of being centralized in their skull alone, it is instead segmented into smaller nodes down their spine.

Historically, Clepathians originate from a small single-planet star system just outside the Blazing Sun Galaxy, having fled their original homeworld on sleeper-ships after nuclear armageddon nearly claimed all of them. They founded a new Celor deep within the galaxy, and have since, for millions of years, gradually grown from a small group of cryo-frozen survivors, into multi-galactic species, often hated for being perceived as imperialistic. Indeed, in the past, they were once incredibly xenophobic and self-righteous, purging their whole galaxy of all other sentients they shared it with, but such a time was over 50,000 years ago, and it is a sin they continuously atone for in the present day, bringing charities of technology, protection, and aid to other planets in need, led by a king who - according to them - is the very envoy of the Creator they worship.

Well, inspiration for their design goes back to Lombaxes from R&C, with a little bit of other things here and there. Originally I came up with them out of middle school teenage angst many years ago, but they've kind of stuck with me ever since. I do get the resemblance when reduced to small pixel art.

The way they are in-game story-wise is a bit of bending the established canon I have for them: had to keep it shorter and somewhat vague so they'd fit in appropriately. On a side note, I'll probably pick up working on the mod again in a couple weeks. I want to start tackling their racial armor first, at the very least the separator, accelerator, and manipulator sets, and fixing the mech drop pod sprites. I've just been busy catching up on book writing.

@Jack2Jack: I like to think of them more as royal imperials who have so many regrets, and what if's in their heads. 50,000 years into the future : Affecting others is the least they want to do, and with peace they want to try and break through.

But... if we are going for jokes, it does remind me of impmon from digimon.
