Description
Amtrak Midwest: Chicago - Grand Rapids

The Siemens Charger is a family of diesel-electric passenger locomotives designed and manufactured by Siemens Mobility for the North American market. There are four models of Chargers: the SC-44 for state-supported inter-city services, the SCB-40 for Brightline inter-city service, the SC-42 for VIA corridor service, and the ALC-42 for Amtrak long distance service.

Features & Contains

- Commuter consist: 3 Cars made after 'Pere Marquette' Route
- SC44 Charger: Single config. A total of 2 engines is assigned to this configuration: 1engine on forward, 1 engine on rear.
- Modeled interior compartment, that is quite noticeable
- Interior lightning with Additive Shader (works between 18h00 to 07h00)
- VIEWLINER: Contains Viewliner coaches, commissioned to Nostrix.
- Can be assigned to train routes via IMT or transport line manager of your choice.
- This is a long train, thus should be used on loop configurations.

* 2x SC44 Charger (texture shared)
* Viewliner coaches (texture shared)

I live in Grand Rapids and take this train often. They use the SC44 but no longer use the viewliner coaches as those have been replaced by the Amtrak Midwest Venture coaches. The trains often have one SC44 engine and 3-4 passenger cars plus a dining car. During the busy holiday seasons the trains can consist of 4-5 passenger cars and a dining car.

It is, currently they use Genesis on one end and engineless version of F40 as a cab car

Isn't this literally a Midwest version of the Surfliner XD
