you thought this would be another furry species in Starbound, didn't you?

well you guessed completely wrong! (the game already has enough of those in my opinion)

this mod adds a dog species to the... the world...? the universe? of Starbound, because i was so (stuck up voice) utterly astounded at the extremely unpleasant lack (stop stuck up voice) of a playable dog species that was actually just a dog and not some weird cross between one and a humanoid. that's it. what? did you think that i was going to let you access the third dimensional plane in Starbound or something? why are you still reading this? stop!

all credits go Kester's King Charles Dog and Sentient Cookie's Playable Cats Redux, as all i did was merge the two to create a new species

*note: this mod doesn't conflict with Sentient Cookie's Playable Cats Redux. you can have both space cats and space doggos.

This is from the ship files in that mod. So yes, it is causing it. There is no object in the vanilla game files called boosterflameavian. I think there was in the past, but no longer.

when i start a game as a dog theres no ship seat and the ai keeps rebooting, i cant even warp to the planet

Part of why I rarely play pixel games. Most of them just look really dopey and undetailed. Modern game graphics have spoiled my imagination.

Kinda, I guess? Just better detail. The single-dot eyes have always looked really dopey to me, never play without mods that give player races more detailed faces.

I hope someone eventually makes a dog race that's got more detailed and expressive sprites in the spirit of the warrior cats mods. Bigger bodies, bigger eyes that aren't just single pixels, etc.
