This True Music addon mod is your one stop solution to all your music needs for Zomboid! If you're playing in singleplayer or in multiplayer, it will provide seamless integration into the game world. This is thanks to all the quality of life features present inside. After playing with music mods and working on them for a long time, I've devised everything you would want from a complete package time period accurate music mod.

-Ever felt like the amount of music items littering the loot lists are too distracting? Have players on your server that rather not interact with music, but still want to provide for a playerbase hungry for music? As a solution, I've condensed all music loot into a single item! No more uneven distribution of music and cluttered up containers! This is done by an item called a 'sealed cassette case'. These items are essentially containers that must be opened up to retrieve the cassette inside. Each of these items contain 3 tapes. This also evens out the music distribution so your favorite song doesn't exclusively spawn in some far away country home.

-A ridiculous amount of music! The mod currently contains 494 songs of many different genres, including: pop, rock, punk, new wave, synthpop, hip-hop, gangster rap, eurodance, italodisco, disco, funk, country, citypop, metal, reggae and much more! If it's released before the game's start date, it's in there. Although the number of music is high, I've focused on variety above all. All killer, no filler.

-With such a massive playlist, I've decided on downscaling the cassette weight down to 0.05 for all the music maniacs that must have it all.

-Although the amount is massive, I've done my best to compress the file size down as much as possible, without sacrificing audible quality too much. To achieve this, I've sourced all songs from uncompressed sources and compressed from there. You won't find a single Youtube rip in here. Fret not for quality, I've tested every file by ear for distortion and tweaked the quality up from there. Thanks to this, I've managed to cram nearly 500 songs into a package that weights just a single gigabyte. Perfect for servers.

-Because boomboxes and car radios always have players nearby, music in the form of singles are ideal. It's why this mod is CASSETTE ONLY! But fret not, because there is a B side to this mod called Lore Vinyls. The vinyl mod focuses on providing music for a more static environment like bases, which is why I decided on making the vinyls be COMPLETE ALBUMS and COMPILATIONS, long form records to have constant music playing for your base when reading books or tinkering your car.
