Description

Compatible with (Dynamic Mod Menu) as of 1.0.4


This mod expands on the gameplay notifications to add more context to scenarios where one would benefit greatly from having more clarity to ongoing developing situations. For example, when an owned station enters combat, you will receive a notification that you can click to quickly cycle to that system and know exactly what is being attacked and where, if the relative fleet power is superior to the defensive structure.

You will also receive a notification for a System that was lost, so you know exactly what you just lost, as usually there may only be a VO saying "We have lost a Starbase/System" but no indication of **WHICH** one. You may, of course, click on the notification icon and it will cycle your camera to that System.

Additionally added event notifications with custom flavour text notifying the approach of the Mid Game and/or End Game period(s).
Text is (to the best of my abilities) lore friendly and non immersion breaking. You can optionally disable these notifications at the start of the game.

My first contribution to this amazing game and community, while I get my feet wet in modding.
As I play and develop more, I wish to add more Quality of Life notifications.

Current Notifications
  1. Station Under Attack
    • Warning Alert Sound
    • Notification Icon with Highlighted Frame (What station is under attack, by whom and which fleet)
    • Red Arrows Ping on Galaxy Map
    • Click to Select Station
    • Double-Click to Go To Station

  2. System Lost
    • Warning Notification Sound
    • Notification Icon (Yellow Surrender Flag . Says which System was lost and to whom)
    • Red Arrow Ping on Galaxy Map
    • Click to go to System.


  3. Game Stages Notifications (Optional)
    (If DMM is installed, must manually navigate to mod settings to chose. Disabled by default.)
    • Notification Icon with Highlighted Frame.
    • Select Wheter You Want To Be Notified At Game Start or Saves in Progress Before Mod (Now configurable with DMM)
    • Option to be notified for both Mid and End Game Stages.
    • Option to be notified solely of Mid Game Stage.
    • Option to be notified solely of End Game Stage.
    • Option to be notified of None.
    • Some Unique Notifications for specific Civilisation Types

  4. Minor Artifact Reminders
    2 Edicts to activate alert reminders:
    • Reminder - Minor Artifact Sellable:
      - Alerts one time notifying that you can sell a Minor Artifact for Energy Credits.
      - Conditions:
      - Has relevant Reminder Edict active.
      - Has at least 50 Minor Artifacts.


    • Reminder - Minor Artifact L-Gate Insight:
      - Alerts one time notifying that you may consume Minor Artifacts for L-Gate Insight Progress.
      - Conditions:
      - Has relevant Reminder Edict active.
      - Has started the L-Cluster Event Chain.
      - L-Cluster has not been opened.
      - Has at least 1000 or more Minor Artifacts.

    • Reminder - Minor Artifact Precursor Insight:
      - Alerts one time notifying that you may consume Minor Artifacts to gain Precursor Insight progress.
      - Conditions:
      - Has relevant Reminder Edict active.
      - Has required Event Chains.
      - Has at least 500 or more Minor Artifacts.

  5. Leviathans Alert (Only supports Space Dragon and its variants for now, may still be a bit buggy)
    • Alert when a fleet encounters a hostile Space Dragon.
    • Warning Sound.
    • Ping in Galaxy Map.
    • Click to go to System.

Notes
The mod is unfortunately NOT Ironman compatible, however you may follow this guide!

Possible Bug for System Lost Event: If System/Station is lost but a planet is still colonised, event may not fire.

To reduce notification spam, only when Enemy Fleet Power is greater or equals to Station fleet power will it fire a notification

It should work in 3.10 but unfortunately I haven't had time to properly check. But as far as I know the game shouldn't crash or have problems either.

What would really be handy is carving up "Construction Complete" into multiple categories, so I can turn off, say, "Construction Complete!" only it's some puny mining station, but keep it for, say, outposts that expand my empire and thus want me to manually direct the construction ship to further expand.

@Doomwarrior, I could look into it once I have the time. I can't promise to be too quick about it.
I'm really not sure if it's possible to integrate into the new notifications settings menu but will have a gander.

Can you add options to deactivate all kinds of notifications and only leave those pings and visuals on you really want? There is this new config menu, maybe that could be used?

It should already work on 3.6.1. I've been using it without any issues.

Soon I will push a very minor update to fix some spelling and will include the 3.6.* tag to it, but currently it also works fine.
