Description
!Requires HDT and SKSE installation!

For a break down of what this means, please see below for guidance, however please note without the HDT and SKSE installation this mod WILL CRASH your game, and no this is not a bug, nor an issue with the mod itself, it is simply required extensions to Skyrim that will allow this mod to work at all.

------------------ So what is this mod? ---------------

Best to check out the videos as they really show what this is all about (click on the small pictures under the main picture that have the small play button on them to see - best watched full screen in 1080p if you can manage it)

So, what is this mod then I hear you cry?

Well, glad you asked as this is an unusual mod for me as this is really an addendum to an existing mod of mine. My good bud Xinafay produced a seriously awesome set of high heels (available on another website - just google Xinafay and you can find Xin's mod and some of mine you will not find here...)

This mod takes Xinafay's mod and amends it to my preference, mainly making the heels of black patent leather variety and working with my three current main pantyhose textures, (black/red/white). This mod introduces new shiny black shoes that you can wear with any of my existing pantyhose outfits found in my panyhose outfit mod which can be found on Steam on my collection page....

Alternatively I made black patent versions of high/ultra/ballet without nylon also so you can wear with any other outfit you so choose if you want that black shiny look.

-------------- Help I dunno WTF is going on? -----------------

That's ok - here is a guide for modding skyrim beyond just clicking on a green button and expecting everything to work just fine (hint it may well not through no fault of the mod authors due to mod conflicts i.e. 2 mods you have that are trying to change the same thing at the same time - ooops)

A youtube playlist which forms a guide for newbies to modding Skyrim safely, how to avoid conflicts and crashes so check it out!

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE7DlYarj-DdhDG41roBVJfNCqvO5MmKP.

-------------- So what is HDT and SKSE you mention? ---------

HDT aka the Funky Stilleto mod

Ok so HDT is an extension to Skyrim that basically makes high heels make people taller when wearing them - when Skyrim first came out, this did not exist, so wearing we cheated and made legs shorter, and feet arched and taller - it was OK as a compromise but now it works properly so you get lovely legs as they are meant to be - ideal for those who like the glamour looks, or of course if you like shoes, and hey who doesn't like shoes?? Heck we all love shoes! Rock on!

SKSE aka Sykrim Script Extender
This is a program downloaded by millions of folks so is generally considered safer than your mom, and expands the capability of Skyrim to do neat stuff, like run the funky stilleto mod above - a must have if you start to use any of the more advanced mods (many to be found on Nexus etc) - generally if you mod Skyrim much you'll end up needing this sooner or later.

-------------- Ok so I need the funky shoe mod and the SKSE thing - how do I get em? --------------------

Download SKSE here: (http://skse.silverlock.org)

Make sure you install in the main Skyrim directory manually - if this confuses you, watch the tutorial videos I linked earlier - it covers SKSE installation in one of the episodes.

AFTER installing SKSE download and install HDT - there is a nexus version here which looks to have recently been updated so may well work better than one I use - nice!

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36213/?

If you cannot use Nexus due to being banned or whatever then just google it and find a version to download.

-------------- Ok so I did that - what now? ---------------------------

Start up the game and you can make the shoes at a forge using leather and whatnot

-------------- So what shoes do I get with this mod? ---------------

Well this gets kinda interesting - the core shoes are made by a good buddy of mine, so you will get by default the following:

- High Heels
- Ultra High Heels
- Ballet Heels

I decided to play around and make the originals patent (i.e shiny cuz I love shiny) so this mod gives you that. It also gives you nylon red/white/black versions of all 3 types of shoe so it work seamless with my pantyhose outfits (some are shown in the 1st video as examples).

So... you can either wear the shoes with no nylons, or *if* you want to wear with nylons then you can wear with my patyhose outfit mod which can be found on my collection page (link at top of this page to the collection).

So think that covers it - onto the FAQ:

FAQ:

Q1: Um OMG this suxs
A1: Um OK, or whatever, or something, I forget.

Q2: This crashes my game at the menu therefore you suck!
A2: No you suck. Really. You do. Read the description. Wow.

Q3: Skyrim did not have high heels, this is historically innacurate therefore you suck or something.
A3: So we have a history professor here do we? Um, it's a game - killing dragons and draugr is not an accurate recount of history mm'kay - yeah sorry to break it to you but the game is not a TV history documentary you are somehow involved in... sorry...

Q4: How do I download this mod for a new type of immersive cloud experience?
A4: Umm. well cloud aside, just click on the big green subscribe button and steam will sort it all out for you.

Q5: What body type is required?
A5: This is designed to work with my pantyhose mod, but generally a CBBE type - chances are will work well enough-ish with UNP/B depending on what settings you have...

Will see what questions arise and add to the FAQ if required.

As a last note, please please recognise this requires further work than just clicking the green button and expecting it to work - I have tried to make that adundantly clear, but whatever I do, people still seem to ignore everything and downvote my more complex mods because they simply cannot be arsed to read anything - so sad...

@michaelbcampbell - this mod cant 'break your game' - if you unsub it wont load and you would be fine as before you subbed, but sounds like you have other problems, possibly because you have other mod conflicts going on or are trying to run mods which have other reqs you havn't fulfilled like, for example correctly installing SKSE or HDT for something else that requires it.

Not being mean, trying to be helpful, but on it's own this mod simply can't break your game - there are no scripts etc.

Good luck in hunting down your issue though.

This just needs a feature where the heels have an effect on movment, Love the idea of clacking sounds detroying stealth, chance to trip untill you have practiced in them and different level of mastery needed for the different terrains and surfaces
AzureAssaulter 4 May, 2016 @ 2:21pm
