Description

Does the [C] Crafting Menu from Frackin' Universe conflict with the mods you have? Or do you maybe just miss the functionality of the old crafting menu? I've got you covered in either case.

This is a quick mod I made that reverts the [C] Crafting Menu to how it was prior to Frackin' Universe's changes. It added three tabs and separated the crafting menu items out into them, which conflicted with many mods. Some of those broken mods are abandoned and no longer receiving updates, so I created this mod as a way of fixing them.

  • Patman, because talked to me while I was figuring out how to make the metadata file function.

  • The Frackin' Universe Team for developing Frackin' Universe.

  • I'll never get tired of saying this. Every single one of you, sitting on the other end of the screen, always there to download my mods when you think they're worth the time of day. Thank you.

unless all of those functions mentioned are somehow tied to the file crafting.config, they should not be breaking. i've just gone through the process of switching over to a patch instead of a direct file replacement, so any issues that aren't false-positives should be fixed.

I'm having the same issue as Jetstream Storm, this mod is breaking the character creation menu. I'm currently working around it by uninstalling the mod when I want to make a new character, but I'm hoping this will be fixed eventually.

For some reason this mod removes some mech legs texture

So i'm trying to figure out if this is due to updates breaking this or just an incompatibility, but the character creation menu breaks when using this mod. Which is weird given this doesn't affect it.

It doesn't affect the character select menu, oddly. only the creation menu.

Think I found the problem quicker than it took me to write out that last comment. Thought I'd pruned my modlist well enough but Manipulated UI snuck through the cracks and that was causing the problem.

Whether it's an incompatability directly between yours and StardustLib, I'm not sure. All I know is that when I'm subscribed, my C menu isn't a mess anymore, but my Quickbar directly open the Matter Manipulator. When I'm unsubscribed, C menu has floating tabs but I get my Quickbar options back.
I'll try to have a go through with the handful of suspect mods soon and pinpoint the interactions, if it's a user-end issue. Thanks!

that makes absolutely no sense. I don't even at all touch that area, and it works fine with this mod installed on my end. Are you sure you have the right mod mate?

Sadly this mod breaks my Quickbar from StardustLib- clicking on the button in the UI only opens the Matter Manipulator window. I may be a bit of a fool and be missing something there though, only got back into Starbound modding after a hiatus, and I'd hate to not be able to use this mod!

@Joker:
In the metadata file, you add the line "priority" and assign it a value.Take a look at this article on the Starbound wiki [starbounder.org] for a better explanation.

@Silver Sokolova:
Where'd they say that, cause if they did, they're really out of touch. Using the C Menu is an important thing for mods that need a GUI which is compatible with Extended GUI without needing a third party patch. By using the C Menu with overrides built into the object file, you can make a custom GUI out of it, while still allowing it the freedom of Extended GUI should the player want that. Saying that only outdated mods touch that is wrong; multiple mods, by myself and others, still use it for the very fact it has no tabs. And by that logic, if they actually said that, doesn't that imply that FU is outdated?
