Vigilance Driver Cannon

Description
A must-have for any cosmic empire, the Vigilance Driver Cannon is an artillery piece capable of firing explosive shells at high speeds over great distances using gravitational acceleration. The Vigilance Driver Cannon boasts a custom targeting system that is compatible with the Entity Report system used by the Cosmic Ship AI line, and is precise enough to strike moving targets multiple kilometers away. Here's how it works:

In it's default state, the cannon will return to its default position; however, if the cannon has AutoScan enabled, it will instead scan the sky while idle. Similar to the vanilla ship turrets, it picks random locations in the sky, and scans that area to try to detect enemies. If it finds anything, it uses the Entity Report system to update system data for other Cannons and Cosmic Ship AI.

If an large enemy ship is reported or detected and the cannon has AutoFire enabled (on by default), the cannon will automatically aim and fire three rounds at the target with incredible precision if it is within its customizable firing range. The precision of firing is dynamically determined by the distance the target is from the cannon, and it is able to strike within 10 meters of the exact target position over 5 kilometers. The cannon can rotate 360°, and can aim up and down 45°, giving a single turret coverage over 25% of the sky.

The world file for this Cannon has multiple supporting ships, including Cosmic Sentries; as small ships, they have a reduced turret range; however, if they take damage, they will send a Search request to all Cannons, which will scan random points between 600m and 800m of the sentry to try to find the ship that damaged the Sentry.

When firing, the Cannon uses its sensors to ensure the barrel is clear of obstacles, and uses its cameras to ensure there is nothing blocking the target.
The Vigilance uses predictive aiming to target where it expects the target to be. While targeting an enemy, it will also use its cameras to receive live updates on the target's position, allowing it to correct its aiming; however, it *will* miss if it tries to fire upon an accelerating target.

The Cannons have a radio antenna set to broadcast at 800m for IGC purposes; however, they are equipped with 4 laser antenna for longer-range communications. This allows them to ambush unwitting enemies that wind up on scans.

The Cannons come equipped with two connectors, a break room with two bathrooms and showers, a kitchenette, and two large gatling turrets. These turrets will also be used to update enemy positions should they wander into range.
Keep in mind that the Vigilance is untested on worlds where ship speeds can exceed 104.38 m/s and likely will fail to aim properly.

Each shell consists of 1 merge block, four warheads, a timer, a Space Ball, a small battery, 2 light armor blocks, and a single 3x3 window pane. When fired, they undergo 10Gs of acceleration and reach a top speed of 104.38 m/s. Shells are also set to automatically detonate if they miss their target; the calculation is performed at launch time and generally has an error margin of up to 100 meters with targets up to 5Km away.

For added flare, the turret has status indicators on the side of the barrel. The first turns on when it is done firing, the second turns on while printing, and the third indicates that it is ready to fire. Additionally, while attempting to fire at the target, the four lights at the mouth of the barrel turn on and flash red.
