Description
- READ CONTROLS BELOW -

The All Terrain Scout Transport (or AT-ST for short) was an Imperial light reconnaissance and anti-infantry vehicle most often deployed along side the heavier but slower AT-AT. It's nimble speed and agility helped it to cover the flanks of the larger walker and also made it more maneuverable and capable of navigating thicker forests and jungles, hence it's heavy use in the battle of Endor.

It sported twin blaster cannons from the "chin" and was equipped with a light blaster and concussion grenade launcher on either "cheek", though it could also be mounted with a mortar launcher when and if the mission called for it.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Be sure to exit "Stand" mode before engaging the walk cycle and end the walk cycle before activating stand mode or it will throw off the timers and fall over. If this happens, re-paste it from the blueprint. Also becomes an unfortunate victim of block damage as well. Sorry guys, I can't fix that, SE was not designed with walkers in mind.

CONTROLS:

1 - Fire main guns
2 - Rotate main guns
3 - Fire rockets
4 - Open/Close top hatch
5 - Enter/Exit stand mode
6 - Start walk cycle (Press ONLY once)
7 - End walk cycle (May have to press more than once)
8 - Turn Left (Toggle)
9 - Turn Right (Toggle)

Personal Notes:

I've been meaning to tackle one of these since my early days in SE but was terrified of attempting a legitimate walker with Clang stalking about and all the constant changes Keen likes to make so I held off, but with the recent collision update I thought I'd give it a go. A bit mis-proportioned in many respects but necessary to achieve those clean lines I love so much and overall accurate look I like to achieve. Not the most graceful of walker's either but it does stay upright and I really like how it turned out.

Comments and ratings are always appreciated.

@titanickid17

A lot of the influence and inspiration Lucas drew up was from Nazi Germany. The plot, characters, many of the costumes including Vader's, and even the term "Storm Trooper" was widely used to describe the German Soldiers back then, though the term hails from much earlier. A lot of interesting factoids can be found about the original saga and the Empire's tie to Nazi Germany. Another good one, Thanks!

@Hethan757

One of my original posts was an AT-AT but I can't in good faith recommend that one. It's a Clangy mess theses days. That was some 6/7 years ago and there has been a myriad of changes since then so it's no longer functional.

Contagious optimism, I like it! Appreciate the kind words. At least we have the video to see it when it had once worked (sorta).

Thanks for your outstanding contributions mate.
Your designs always look like George Lucas took from your originals and not the other way around.
Very high quality!

Keep it up and outsource the bugfixing if you don't feel it.

Someday we shall have wellmade games again, where hotfixes don't destroy modders efforts and companies value their customers as creative partners in an effort to achieve a meaningful gaming experience.

Cheers!

It's just a shame that the update situation with this game has been the state of my experience for the last 6 or so years and thus I am burnt out trying to keep up with the repetitive fixes that are required after each and every update. Alas, it seems this is the state of the gaming industry these days.

I always try and keep up with my followers, there was a time when that was the norm on here.

It's all good. I figured out that just reloading my single player file makes the jostling stop for a bit. I noticed everything else with hinges rotors or pistons jiggles around as well whenever this problem comes up so yeah, definitely a keen issue... let's hope it gets fixed soon! Also thanks for replying, I honestly don't expect that from most authors

Another Keen update since I posted this so in the usual fashion it's probably broken :steamfacepalm: Exactly the reason why I don't play this much anymore... sorry man!
Erynn1511 12 Jan, 2021 @ 12:22pm
having a bunch of problems with this thing getting all jittery and shaking around, also it says apparently there is an issue with the every hinge, rotor and piston in this thing, it worked fine when I first subscribed but.... no idea whats going wrong with it now :/

Thanks man, that was what took the most of my time. The design fell together pretty quickly. My only regret is that its disproportionate, but alas...
