Description
Update 2.0: Mod Now Requires Modpocalypse Perk Pack to provide Travel Light (now +1 Mobility)

Update 1.96: Enabled Claymore for ALL Proficiency Classes
Enabled Pistol for Skirmisher Cohorts.

Update 1.95: Added Xcom Trinkets DPS support for Starting Trinkets.


Created with the permission of the creator's of the main mods (shiremct and veehementia), this is my compatibility plugin, to give the Proficiency Classes (and the Faction heroes) significant functionality via the Dedicated Pistol Slot.

This pack allows soldiers to equip the following in the Pistol Slot:

Pistol - AS the name implies (Proficiency Classes only) - Along with all other sidearms/secondaries, Pistols are granted 1 upgrade slot.
Travel Light - my own 'empty' secondary weapon which provides +1 Mobility.
Claymore - the Reaper's 'old' secondary - with a single use ; Added 3 types of upgraded Claymores (Distraction, Shrapnel, Homing Mine) to Experimental Grenade Project.

PsiAmps - for use with either Psionics Ex Machina or other compatible psionics mods (Proficiency Classes only, Faction Heroes already handled by Psionics Ex Machina - if installed).

Combat Knife - Non-Faction/Assault/Intelligence Officer classes can now use the Combat Knife in Pistol Slot. Update: Reaper now has it as an option.


Unarmed Weapons - if installed.
Extra Shotgun/Flamer/Grenade Ammo - if Iridar's Underbarrel Attachments is installed. (N/A to classes with incompatible weapons)
Hacker Laptop - if System Infiltration 2.2 is installed.



Note on Requirements:
Proficiency Packs, Dedicated Pistol Slot, Weapon Skin Replacer and WOTC Highlander (either release, BETA, or CI specific), are HARD requirements.

The mods that add each featured item (UB attachments, Unarmed Weapons, Sys Infiltration, Psionics Ex Machina, Limited Reloads) are only required IF you want the individual items.

Future Additions:
Extra Magazines - if using looplick's Limited Reloads is installed. (N/A to classes with incompatible weapons) - awaiting update to Limited Reloads for compatibility.

Hi. There is a minor typo in the config XComPistolSlot.ini:

+ADD_SLOT=(SOLDIER_CLASS+"WOTC_APA_Phalanx", WEAPON_CAT="combatknife", ALLOW_EMPTY=true)


I believe it should be:

+ADD_SLOT=(SOLDIER_CLASS="WOTC_APA_Phalanx", WEAPON_CAT="combatknife", ALLOW_EMPTY=true)

If you could update the config it would be great. Thanks.

iirc i set all the HEAT heavy weapons for skirmisher/templar dps slot

Is it intended for Skirmishers to be able to equip the hellfire projector in the sidearm slot? Seems quite strong. That's even without buying the Heavy Hardpoints skill that allows them to equip heavy weapons.

Thanks for the tip! I gave that a go, moving it and changing the setting. When unequipping the slot it does default to an item now, but for some reason it always defaults to claymore, not travel light.

I tried moving travel light first in the config as well, but that didn't work either.

move it to last and set 'allow empty = false'

Is there a way to edit the config so that everyone gets Travel Light equipped by default, instead of having the slot be empty?

@Screamerthefalse they do, they just don't apply until in mission so their stats don't show in the armoury
