Stops & Stations Offline

Description
Compatible with version 1.13.1-f8 and the latest expansion Cities Skylines: Sunset Harbor.

Description
This is a version of Stops & Stations that supports both online and offline use. That means that once the mod has been downloaded, there is no need for an active connection with the Steam Workshop anymore.

Stops & Stations Offline allows you to configure the maximum amount of citizens that can wait at a public transport stop or station, allowing for much more realistic values.
The original Steam Workshop page of Stops & Stations by dymanoid can be found here.

Want an altogether more realistic city? Check out Real Time Offline.

Usage
If you intend to use this mod completely offline, without making use of the Steam API, you have to move the entire folder containing the mod located at "…\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\2156449341\" over to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods\".

Always ensure that the path ends in "\2126383845\" or "StopsAndStationsOffline" after it has been moved. This also applies if you have downloaded the mod from a third party.

Compatibility
While there are no known conflicts, this does not mean there is a guaranteed compatibility with other modifications.

I'm sorry what is the purpose of this mod?

I also have an options UI with sliders and numbers but no text at all.

From what I understand of the workings, once a stop has reached its limit, the citizens will ignore that stop. That means that, yes, they could move onto the next, and yes, they could grow a car-shaped tumour. Which of those they do, should be determined mostly by distance and availability. Keep in mind that at times the AI is as hesitant as a common house cat. So, in the end, which of those they're actually going to do is determined by the alignment of the universes.

@Kushbird.....So if I set a bus stop to limit 100 waiting cims near an airport and two full planes arrive at the airport with say a total of 400 cims what will the remaining 300 cims do? Will they pull out their pocket cars or will they walk to the next available mode of transportation or will they despawn? I understand that a visitor will visit about a month and if they wait at a bus stop for 3 weeks in game time they only have one week to spend money in the city and that is why it is important to find a way to keep them moving. If they despawn then there is no revenue from those tourists in the city. Thanks for any reply.

Thanks for this mod! I have been using the original version until now but i play with all mods in a local folder. The original version does give an error message but it appears to actually work in limiting the number of cims that gather at each transit stop but the settings page for the mod is not available for me with that version. looking forward to try this one!

That's exactly the same question I had. It's just the way how dymanoid handles referencing the mod path, which is done via the Steam Workshop API. There is absolutely no good enough reason for doing it that way.

Okay, so I'm a bit confused, why exactly would a mod like this need an active connection in the first place?

Are you sure the problem is being caused by Stops & Stations Offline? In my own testing I haven't come across any crashes or incompatibilities.

Game crashes everytime, no matter if it's installed in steamapps or in LocalAppData...

This version works without an active connection with the Steam Workshop or Steam API, allowing for offline use. Other than that, it is functionally the same as the original mod.
