Description

These are the animations for the Charger during the development of Left 4 Dead 2.

However, the Charger behaved differently when it had these animations. His charge attack used to just fling the Survivors around instead of latching onto them and pounding them into the ground. That pound attack was once separate from the charge attack. Obviously, this is just an animation change, so he will lock onto the Survivors and pound them, and yes, it does look awkward with the old animation. But this is beyond what a simple animation replacement can change. It might be possible to create a mutation that changes a few CVARs to mimic the old behavior, but in normal gameplay it will still act like the final charge with the old charge animation.

There's also an early walking animation provided.

now you just need to take that part out of the dev commentary where the guy imitates the beta charger sounds and make it a sound replacement to complete this
