Lore

The Cygnus was originally designed by PFS for their own corporate use, where they could gather the officials of other corporations "in their own territory" to create new contracts and deals. However, it was not long after the planning for Cygnus began that trade routes with the Ceresians opened up. Officially, PFS began promising Cygnus vessels for Federal use as a statement of peace and hopeful relations. Unofficially, PFS simply wanted a chance to ensure that whatever vessel these representatives were meeting on would parade the grandeur and prosperity of the Republic like no other, leaving foreign ambassadors at a disadvantage.

The Cygnus offers luxury to all who travel on it. From state of the art lounges, restaurants, conference rooms, and executive suites with only the best views, Cygnus vessels are a place for both negotiation and relaxation. Passengers can be sure to be treated to only the best, while also reveling (willingly or not) in the constant Phoenix propaganda.

Controls


  1. Hydrogen Thrusters On/Off
  2. Hangar Doors Open/Close
  3. Spotlights On/Off
  4. Ion Thrusters On/Off
  5. Reactors On/Off
  6. Batteries On/Off
  7. Rotor Inertial Sharing On/Off (SEE BELOW)

IMPORTANT
The ship will spawn with Inertial Sharing ON. You CANNOT maneuver the ship in this state. Simply turn it off with the controls mentioned above in order to fly the ship. While the mixed grids should be "stable" either way, they will not stop shaking unless you turn Inertial Sharing on. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you keep it on when not maneuvering.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this as well, but the overall shape and thrusters seem to be inspired by the CAS Assault Carrier from Halo
