Deadbeat Scrounger Dialogue Fix

Description
Tired of Deadbeats with Human dialogue? Tired of meeting people constantly on the edge of death and extinction, yet they complain about employment and losing their hats?

This mod aims to fix this by giving Deadbeat Scroungers (the peaceful scorched planet residents) over 60 new unique lines of dialogue.



Compatibility

This mod should be compatible with almost any other mod, but may possibly conflict with other mods that patch dialogue to deadbeatscrounger.npctype

The only mod that I am aware of that also adds dialogue to the Scroungers is Project redemption. If you have both mods installed then you may experience some difficulties when speaking to Scroungers.

Can be uninstalled with absolutely 0 consequences.

Should work just fine. It's safe to install and uninstall at any time in case it's somehow not compatible.

so with version 2.0 it can work with Project Redemption?

Version 2.0 has now been released! Here is a summary of the changes:

*Overhauled dialogue to feel more natural.
*Removed dialogue lines that required any Fallout-related context to understand.

This mod now uses JSON patching instead of just replacing the entire deadbeatscrounger.npctype file, meaning compatibility should be even more certified

I am uncertain if a deathclaw ripping Garvey in half from the bottom up would help me now, but I do appreciate the sentiment.

I apologize deeply for bringing back that repressed memory. Atleast you can now go around killing any npc that talks like Preston Garvey, if even that could help you now.

I actually didn't know that they recycled human text.

I just figured they were so used to the hell hole they lived in that they'd rather complain about small things.

Also, you reminded me that Preston Garvey exists, so now you must pay the fine.
