The Shillelagh is a traditional stick weapon used throughout the history of Ireland. It was a badge of honor, and symbol of courage for the brave Irishmen who wielded the great icon.

Today, Shillelagh is a broad term, typically used to describe most Irish stick weapons made of Blackthorn, Oak, and several other woods. However, there are actually many different variations of the weapons style.

Monk's Shillelagh is modeled after the weapon carried by the character Monk, in the film Gangs Of New York. There are two versions included in the mod. The one-handed version is about the same size from the film. The two-handed version is scaled up to about the size of the war-hammers in game.

Although this isn't exactly a traditional variation of a Shillelagh carried in historical Ireland, it is just way too cool not to have.
