Description
long one handed weapon (mace like weapon)

THE ITEM IS CRAFTABLE AT THE FORGE UNDER THE CATEGORY: WOOD (MISC)

The Shillelagh is a traditional stick weapon used throughout the history of Ireland. It was a badge of honor, and symbol of courage for the brave Irishmen who wielded this great icon.

Today, Shillelagh is a broad term, typically used to describe most Irish stick weapons made of Blackthorn, Oak, and several other woods. However, there are actually many different variations of the weapons style.

The Alpeen is typically a knobbed, flexible stick about 4 feet long, usually with a natural shape, and the truest version of what a Shillelagh is.The Alpeen was used similar to classic European fencing, except the off hand would be used as a shield, rather than behind the back. The hardest skulls tended to prevail.

Thanks. I have a Cold Steel replica already and will be getting an authentic Blackthorn when I have the money.

I'm getting too old for fist fighting anyways :P
