Somi M1931 submachine gun. From 1929 to 1930, Lati launched a submachine gun based on the M26, and put it into mass production at the Tikakoski Arsenal in Finland in 1931.In the same year, it was officially listed by the Finnish army and named M1931 . Lati was so confident in his design that he even named his submachine gun after the name of his homeland, Finland ("Somi" was an evolution of the word " Finland " in Finnish ), and was used before mass production Patent applications were filed in the United States and Finland in 1930, and finally approved in 1932.
The M1931 Somi charge only retains the removable barrel and pull handle of the M26 submachine gun.The gun is basically a new design. The full gun is heavier than the M26 and the length is shortened by 4 cm. The fast and slow machine -safety handle is relocated near the trigger; using a sheet-shaped crosshair and an arc-shaped adjustable scale with a maximum nominal range of 500 meters (in fact, the effective range is far from this); bevel may play a role in anti-jump, make weapons more stable at the time of shooting; wooden buttstock has also been improved, so that the yoke more comfortable; for ammunition to 25 rounds straight cassette magazine and 70 rounds of ammunition drum.

Suomi Kp-31 is a classic work of Finland,all of it's production process are as complicated and delicate as making a sniper,which makes it very high quality.It also has a high fire rate - 900 RPM,that makes it ideal in CQB
