Description
Vanilla | Survival | Subgrids | No Scripts | DLC

The hydrogen powered S-300 Exuma is a small personal starship capable of landing on every planet/moon. It's fast enough for racing and packs a suprising punch.

When you're on a budget, the Exuma is an ideal choice for a personal starship. It does not require uranium, since the battery is easily capable of powering the whole ship for a long time and it is powered by hydrogen thrusters, making it not only light and cheap, but also incredibly fast. Due to the small size a jump drive does not fit into it, vastly limiting its interplanetary capabilities. On the plus size it is suprisingly powerful in dogfights, thanks to the 2 C-50 Penta gatling guns. The guns are angled slightly inwards (0.6°), to archieve a convergence point of around 500-600m.
The spartanic interior includes a complete bathroom and a single bed.

If you build this in survival, you have to print the guns separately (workshop link further down) and attach them manually. You can also attach any other gun from the Helios collection, all of them fit.
Don't worry about the connectors, the guns will never detach whatever you do.
The single ion thruster prevents the ship from drifting in natural gravity. It's some kind of bug and adding one ion thruster fixes it. It does not really serve any other purpose and is not necessary.

I actually mounted them on rotors (on the same grid) to get the perfect angle, but I've found it to be pretty reliable to just use a tugboat and turn the connector strength to zero. If you don't like the connector mount, you can also replace it with a adv. rotor and attach one of the rotor mounted guns from here: https://sp.zhabite.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1772450971

how did you manage to get the connectors to the gatling guns exactly on spot? i can't seem to recreate it in survival.

Yeah I know, I might update my old speederbikes at some point. Or maybe I'll just make new ones, that's probably easier.

U know, they are adding a control seat to small grid things, so no more passenger seats!
