Description
Informations:

The Mekarski system was a compressed-air propulsion system for trams invented by Louis Mékarski in the 1870s.The system was promoted as being suitable for use in congested streets and in tunnels, as compressed air produced no smoke or flames, and thus would not disturb horses or fill the carriage with soot and sparks like a steam engine.
The system was tested in Paris in 1876 and introduced to the tramways of Nantes in 1879. It seems to have been a success at Nantes with a fleet of 94 trams in 1900. The Mekarski tramcars continued in use there until 1917, when they were replaced by electric trams.

Additional informations:

I commissioned this asset from REV0 and created historically accurate versions using original tram lines it.
This pack contains two 'versions' of the tram in brown/maroon:
1.TL: BASTILLE • PORTE RAPP
2.TJ: PASSY • HOTEL DE VILLE

These trams have line coloured side boards.

I will be making more stuff, so subscribe to stay updated!
C'est pas le dernier, donc oublie pas de t'abonner pour rester au courant!

I used MoveIt to place it over a road and then sunk it lower so that it match the height of cobblestone. It's supposed to be used on ground level though. It also works like a normal tram track.

Is this it?

How does it go over the road without interfering with the traffic? Is this fully functional or cosmetic?

Your question was already answered under the first tram. There's even a link to what you're looking for.

How do you have tram tracks without the catenary?
