Description




After an endless time of hopeless battles, our engineers had to adapt in their techniques. It’s time for the 4th generation to rise up.

The Serenity Class is the oldest and the most successful ship ever constructed by the GCF.
This ship has wrote history for the GFC-Shipyards.
From a simple ugly civilian cruiser to an armed freighter and now to the official light corvette of the GCF-Navy.

It's light armored and sleek to provide speed and maneuverability. In heavy battles it provides fire support with the main AA-Weaponry. It features a small landing platform on the upper deck and a vehicle bay at the bottom. For survival purpose it's equipped with assemblers and simple refineries.

Even though the ship might be pretty small, all important rooms are included like a CIC area, machine room, storage, first aid and engineering.

Main feature is the new rover elevator system together with the new exploration rover. The Zaros-LAV

How to attach and detach vehicle:
  1. Park vehicle under connector ship in the correct position
  2. Extend Connector
  3. Once the connectors turn yellow, press 9 (rover cockpit) to engage the rover's alignment arms to correct it's
    orientation. Then press 9 again to disenage them
  4. If the rover is still not prefectly aligned activate the gyros and wiggle around a bit. Aim your crosshair exactly at the
    small mark on the rotor head in front of you
  5. Press P to attach the connectors
  6. Press 6 (rover cockpit) to fold the rover's wheels into storage mode
  7. Press 3 (rover cockpit) to lift the rover into the ship

When a Ship 'drifts' for no reason then it's usually down to a couple of things..

Check all Gyroscpes and make sure NON has the 'OVERIDE CONTROLS' activated.

Also, for ALL types of ship thrusters, makes sure that the option 'THRUST OVERRIDE' is set to DISABLED.

With these two checks this will cure pretty much make every ship stable in flight.

also After testing turning off and locking the rotor on the radar thing it doesn't drift as much or tilt really any if at all

Dapper i have seen ships use wheels as landing Gear on larger ships and welders are normally Self Repair systems for turrets or maybe for Small ship Repairs and or building new ships faster Depending on the position also i plan to look at this for a mobile base game also i see stuff on rotors this is space engineers if you use rotors or pistons or hinges and when you use them all at once for one Arm or contraption pray to clang that it doesn't explode as soon as trying to use it and then pray to clang that no major changes to the physics don't cause it to clang the whole thing it is built on to become a massive crater ik this and have built no Cranes and the most with the stuff i have done is a single small Aircraft lift on a base

Doubt you'll reply as it's been so long, but I have a few questions.
- What are the large wheels for near the end of the ship on the bottom side?
- What is the point of the welder on the inside of the ship?

I captured it from the pirates but I found it quite bad:
- not a lot of firepower for its weight
- too much weakness point (oh god, in atmospheric combat, this ship is disabled in 5sec)
- no upward thrusters (carefull not to roll in atmosphere)
- mediocre maniability for a corvette
- the convoyer system is broken. Front and rear system are not connected together, there are a lot of cargo not connected at different places (why?!)
- not suited for long range because no refinery, no cryo, no bed, no living room, and of course ...
- no jump drive...
- weird behavior with the rotors (the ship is difting around 0.5 to 1m/s and when I captured it, it crashed soon after because of that).
- When it crashed (at 1m/s), the vehicule exploded and a huge chunk of the ventral part of the ship was gone.... weakness point anybody ?

The design is cool, the interior is nice, but in state, it has no useful role in a fleet nor as explorer.

in order to stop the ship from tilting, i belive u gotta turn of the rotors

i have just tried it and as someone before me has said the ship drifts off to the right side no matter what I'd like to know if there is a solution to that. Also this may be a me thing, but I never for the cockpit for the ship so i had to add on. what i want to know is, is there a cock pit in the ship?

@Gorgoth remove the spinning rotor on top of the ship, this caused the ship to tilt for me.
