Description
The Soviet Memorial Tiergarten in Berlin (1945) by AmiPolizeiFunk (2019)

The Sowjetisches Ehrenmal Tiergarten was inaugurated on November 11th, 1945, a mere 6 months after the end of World War 2. It was designed by architect Mikhail Gorvits and sculptors Vladimir Tsigal and Lev Kerbel. It was constructed out of stones from the destroyed New Reich Chancellery that stood only a few blocks away. Some say that the 8-meter tall bronze Soldier has his left arm and exaggerated hand in such a unique position to represent the "putting down" of the Nazi salute, while others say it is simply meant to represent the "watching over" of the ~2,000 Red Army soldiers that are buried on the grounds of the memorial.

In part of the "Two Plus Four Agreement" ("two" being West and East German governments and "four" being the Allied Powers; Soviet Union, USA, UK & France) that saw the reunification of Germany in 1990, Germany agreed to assume the maintenance and repair of the memorial. Throughout the Cold War and even today, the memorial has had a tumultuous history. It is an active site of Commemoration on VE-Day, where in May of every year the site is adorned with wreaths, flowers, and ribbons. It has suffered protests and vandalism, and even a petition to have it removed. Located just a stone's throw from the Reichstag and Brandenburg Tor on the Straße des 17. Juni, it is a popular tourist attraction. Children are often found playing on the tanks and hanging from the barrels of their guns.

I've been working on re-creating this site off-an-on over the last two years. For me, it is the most vivid and shocking reminder of the war that ravaged the world and wreaked havoc on so many of our families that experienced it first-hand.

Monument Asset

This asset has an invisible mesh for pedestrian pathing and six sub-buildings. It has 40+ props, including all of the custom props that I have created, as well as some vanilla lamps, flowerbeds, fountains, and benches. Please note that the flowerbeds have random colormasks, so you may have to re-plop the asset to get colors of your liking. The TRI counts and texturemap sizes for each of the 15 parts are listed on the subsequent pages. This asset does not include the dozens of hedges, bushes, trees, fences, and extra proplights shown in the in-game screenshots. For all of that, I've made you a collection and a MoveIt! export file.
