Description
Greater restrictions on worker pops auto-promoting to specialist.

This mod will not be updated for Stellaris v2.3, as some of Glavius' excellent AI work on jobs will be included in the update.

WHAT IT DOES
The mod adds some additional weightings to specialist and ruler jobs, that reduce the likelihood of certain worker pops promoting into that job. In a few cases, clerks have a slightly greater weight for promoting.

This brings a few benefits to the game:
  • Promotion is more predictable.
  • You can create specialist job vacancies with a far lower chance of destroying your base productions.
  • The AI's performance heavy checks on promotion evaluate false far more often.
    (This means the AI is moving pops around a lot less.)
  • The AI's base production is far more reliable and robust.
It does mean that you may have to make a few workers unemployed before they'll fill specialist vacancies. So, yes, you are not completely freed from that micro.

COMPATIBILITY
The following two files are modded:
common/pop_jobs/01_ruler_jobs.txt
common/pop_jobs/02_specialist_jobs.txt

Do not use this with State of Lies or AlphaMod as it's integrated with both of those.

now if ONLY paradox would give us back the option to DRAG and DROP pops into what jobs we wanted, kinda stupid having my mineral efficient robots auto-put in specialist jobs =_=;

Could you do a version of this that makes pops go to a lower tier faster? I'm assuming that number can be modified because there's a harmony tradition that does.
