This mod is an updated re-release of my old Machine Merge mod.

This mod adds features from both the Animated Synthetic Portraits - Expanded and Synth Collective mods and also adds a few of my own.

Credit to jagdtiger and silfae for their mods which without, this one would have not been possible.



Features inherited from the Animated Synthetic Portraits - Expanded mod:
-Ability to play as a synthetic empire at game start.
-All The Portraits Offered By The Above Mentioned mod.
-Other features added by Animated Synthetic Portraits - Expanded have been removed as they may cause problems in multiplayer, as such, this mod should be safe to use in multiplayer.

Features inherited from the Synth Collective mod:
-Ability to play as a synthetic empire at game start.
-Ability to assimilate organics to synthetics.
-Possible to choose your synthetics' starting traits.
-This mod's events are mainly used to create your synthetic empire.

This mod also includes several technologies which upgrade your pops, similar to how robots are upgrade to droids, and to synthetics.



This mod overwrites several vanilla files, and may be incompatible with mods that modify the same files.

If not, maybe those machines as standalone portraits? Certainly look cool!

@TheEvilKing We might have the same issue, my ascended synth pops are of robotic type instead of synthetic type, is it the case for you too?

is there a way to choose theme as apperance for build robots? or is it just an compatibilty issue with another mod because i can't choose them, only the portraits under maschine.
