mod works best on very high shader settings
(chrome/gloss fx does not work on lower end pc)

When I use higher shader settings, It doesn't do anything at all to make it look better. How can I fix this?

It doesn't replace anything, it simply edits the Desert Rifle (Or SCAR, same thing) to have a chrome appearance.
