To honor the history of absorbed companies, American Airlines paint some of their airplanes in heritage liveries. This is the AirCal heritage livery.

Air California was founded by William E. Myers and Bill Perrera and began as an intrastate airline operating solely within California. The airline was renamed AirCal in 1981 and was merged into American Airlines in 1987.

All credit goes to bsquiklehausen for the amazing model! Adjustments were made to make the livery possible.
