This mod is no longer supported by me. Permission to upload a modified/fixed/"reborn" version of the mod is granted to anyone who wishes to do so as long as they don't stuff in pink space elephants.

MILITARY STATIONS REBORN
Stellaris v1.9.1

I've noticed that most mods that buff up the military stations are either not updated for v1.9.1 or come with a ton of stuff. What if you wanted was just to have better buffed up military stations without all the extra stuff ? Well normally you would get a mod like [url]Fortress XL[/url] but the mod is not 1.9.1 compatible. So here I made a mod that is inspired by the many other mods alike.

MOD TL:DR

All Military Stations have:
  • More base health;
  • More base armor;
  • Lower base upkeep;
  • Weapons shoot farther;
  • Can build closer to each other;
  • All sections enhanced;
  • XL section for the Fortress;
  • XL weaponry fires in ALL directions.
  • Mostly mod friendly (see compatibility section bellow)

Strongly suggest using UI Overhaul 1080p Plus so everything fits nice on screen.

THE LONG DESCRIPTION

All stations have;
~ more health so they can actually hold up longer;
  • Defence Station = 15 000 
  • Platform Station = 35 000
  • Fortress = 115 000
~ higher weapons range so they shoot further;
  • Defence Station = 0.30
  • Platform Station = 0.35
  • Fortress = 0.95
~ higher base armor for that edge in battle;
  • Defence Station = 50
  • Platform Station = 75
  • Fortress = 200
~ lower upkeep (50% less) so you can have many stations without breaking the wallet;
  • Defence Station = -0.5
  • Platform Station = -0.5
  • Fortress = -0.6
~ lower building radius so they can cover each other (see screenshots above);
  • Defence Station = 55
  • Platform Station = 75
  • Fortress = 95

Defence Station & Platform sections;
~ Light Section;
  • 2 X Small
  • 2 X Medium
  • 2 X Point Defence
~ Medium Section;
  • 4 X Medium
~ Heavy Section;
  • 2 X Large
  • 1 X Torpedo
~ Hanger Section;
  • 3 X Hanger
  • 2 X Point Defence

~ All Defence Station & Platform Sections have ;
  • 2 X Small Utility Slots
  • 2 X Medium Utility Slots
  • 4 X Large Utility Slots
  • 1 X Utility Component

Fortress sections;
~ Light Section;
  • 8 X Point Defence
  • 2 X Large
~ Medium Section;
  • 4 X Medium
  • 2 X Torpedo
  • 2 X Point Defence
~ Heavy Section;
  • 8 X Large
~ Hangar Section;
  • 8 X Hangar

~ All Fortress Sections have:
  • 12 X Large Utility Slots
  • 1 X Utility Component

New section - Fortress only
~ XLarge Section;
  • 6 X Extra Large
  • 12 X Large Utility Slots
  • 2 X Utility Component

~ All Sections require the vanilla technologies associated with 'em.
~ I did not reduce nor augment the cost of building the various military stations.

The mod is incompatible with mods that modify the Military Station sections only...
  • \common\section_templates\other.txt
  • \common\ship_sizes\ship_sizes.txt
...mods that completely overwrite this file:
  • \common\component_templates\00_weapons_extra_large.txt
...and mods that add new XL Weapons will need a minor patch for full compatibility.

I'm a noob stellaris modder atm so patching can be overwhelming for me.

ISSUES

...which are base game normal
  • XL Weaponry don't graphically show up on the Fortress.
  • Creation list in designer has duplicate Military Station options. Always use the ones at the bottom of the list.

  • XL section has no localisation name. I made it eye friendly.

Sorry for the radio silence this past year. I am confirming now that this mod is no longer supported as of Stellaris 2.x.x +. It will always be compatible with the version it was made for Stellaris 1.9.1.

Permission to upload a modified/fixed/"reborn" version of the mod is granted to anyone who wishes to do so as long as they don't stuff in pink space elephants :P :)

someone made a code called station returns (something like that) that re-enable the fortress and stations in games, but as part of the spaceport.

Maybe their code will help you with this issue. : ) I sincerely wish station could be as powerful as possible as the way they should be.

starbases replaeced spaceports. 1 per system.

they stripped the ability to build them with constuctuon ships. the cut down versions are basically static emplacements centered around starbases now.

@OneEyed ; awesome :) hey I've been on a Rust binge past few weeks. I will perhaps try out a quick small game of Stellaris this coming weekend to see what has changed and how good/bad the stations are. :)

If you give it time people will break the code down so we can have military stations back the way they should be and your mod will be workable again
