Description
This is one complete Obelisk column with a globe lamp on top, based on the Friedrichsbrücke, Berlin. The asset uses the "Advanced Wind Turbine" electricity template for easy placement on water and a game-generated concrete base. Be sure to get the prop pack or it won't have the light! Search "fried" with "FindIt!" mod to bring up this asset and the 3 props.

heh thx. I just don't know that much about the road editor yet as I haven't tried it. I'm still curious to know how well we can do bridges in it and how flexible they can be... :)

I'm sorry for the confusement AmiPolizeiFunk. My last remark was not serious. Hence the smiley face. :-)

The real bridge is beautiful, but these obelisks themselves are already great. They add to the variety of bridges we can make already.

You just work on your own projects. I look forward to the next one.

I'm not sure that I'd ever try to do the bridge. How would I even do it? I don't like the procedural objects solution and I don't like a static prop solution because it wouldn't be flexible. Could the road editor be used to do a bridge like this?

Very Nice! thank you. I'll wait patiently for the rest of the bridge. ;-)

Oh, well, it's nice anyway :D

I also wanna do new Berlin-style quays with weathered sandstone walls but I'm secretly hoping someone with road editor experience will beat me to it.

no sub-buildings, just the 2 props (light frame and light glass). I considered doing a textured base, but it looked out of place against my bridges, which have mostly simple concrete pillars. In the future I may consider doing the entire bridge, with textures that run deeper, but that's a project for another day.

So, this is a easy placement version, I understand. I suppose you are using sub buildings for the glass, so, as a sugestion, what do you think of another sub building under it with nobase shader and texture? That way you can raise it without concrete but actual stone textures (let's be honest, it doesn't fit very much). Anyway, looks beautiful :D
