I'd be even better if openstarbound added support for mod customization and you could go to the mod menu, select a mod, and see a list of checkboxes with all the categories of features like "race", "items", "equipment", "locations", etc, and uncheck the ones you don't want.
Alas, that is only a dream for now.
One thing you can try: Look at your log and locate Expanded Status Pod Effects in the load order. Then check every mod that loaded before it.
Other than that, the big question: Do you use any full-game overhaul mods like FU? If you do, test them first.

you can obtain the random fountains legitimately through oasis vendors, but currently there is a scripting oversight that breaks them.
i made a mod a while back intended to repair the random fountains myself, which you could borrow the fix from https://community.playstarbound.com/resources/random-fountain-fix.4883/
when they changed status pods to have a sound effect, they neglected adding one to the animation file for the fountains which uses the exact same scripting. and they fail to operate because the lua can't find a sound for it to play. the fix is as simple as adding a sound effect to the animation file(as i did in my mod)
If you're still following these comments, your Movable Status Pods mod has arrived: http://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1083871617
