It's a good strategy game. I wouldn't recommend playing your first run with permanent death on though (as I did), because it'll make the late game a bit tedious by having to savescum in order to save your good units. That aspect stopped me from finishing the last two chapters, but still, it's a good game and I enjoyed it.
The story is.... basic JRPG teir. Where the game shines is how you comprise and distribute your individual army units. It can be fun, but like I said, don't run your first game with permadeath as you'll be forced to use healers in basically every unit makeup.
My playtime was spent on the steamdeck and it worked great. (Hold left trigger for maximum effort!)

Rarely do I enjoy a puzzle game so much that I play all the extra levels, let alone 100% it.
This game is enjoyable and not to terribly long or difficult (hints me having the patience to 100%). You are rewarded for experimenting and learning the level as you go, so no need to sit stationary and study every detail before jumping into the level.
I'd recommend this to everyone, not just puzzle enthusiasts, as it's very easy to dive into and enjoy.

It's more of a creature game than a dice game. The creature synergies can work well if you're lucky enough to get them.
A lot of chance and RNG elements in this game, as to be expected. That being said, it's easy to mitigate the effects of unfortunate outcomes by stacking the dice in your favor.
Creatures will basically die permanently and you can replace them, but it messes up the synergy that you've already been working on creating. If that happens, don't expect to beat the run.
It's worth checking out, I had fun with my time, though my excitement waned around the 7 hr mark.

An interesting yet very short experience. Worth a dollar for the visuals.

Quite the wild ride. It starts off slow and gradually picks up by the 3rd chapter.
The story is interesting from what I could initially pick up. If you want details though, prepare to do some digging as most of the text notes are hidden in the initial play-through.
My only complaint is the 8bit "voice" audio. I get what they were going with, but it's painful to hear and mostly unintelligible. He ended up doing a speech/mumbling mix for a car scene that worked really in conjunction with the subs... unfortunately that was just one scene.

I really enjoyed the sound track, so long as you take it in small doses. The puzzles are clever and the setting is very interesting.
However, toward the end of my playtime, I felt like I was just guessing at where objects would land and what colors they'd turn into. No track or color scheme was made very clear so I eventually lost interest as I didn't feel like investigating much outside the core game itself.
It'd be easy to get much more out of the game if you're willing to reach outside help and hints.

Quite a crazy rougelike. When you take the traditional mechanics of chess, and throw in an entire melting pot of other pieces and abilities, it can get pretty crazy.
I admit I wasn't very good at predicting the computer's moves. Variables can change and grow exponentially, but luckily there are plenty of QoL mechanics that help you take back turns, reroll, etc.
I believe the game's really well done, though maybe a bit to ambitious as some of the pieces don't really synergize and the computer opponent will occasionally make poor move decisions. It's still a very nice approach to the genre. Anyone that understands chess and enjoys rougelikes will definitely have fun with this game.

It's a bit on the easy side, but the visuals for the most part make up for it. It also helps that it's short enough to not wear out it's welcome.
You can tell they designed each creature thoroughly but there's no storytelling that I can see, just cool creature designs.
I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing puzzle platformer, especially for an entry into the genre.

It's a good sidescrolling TD. That being said, it's really hard to balance a sidescrolling TD.
I feel like they did a good job though. The beginning can be a bit rough, but once you get the hang of it, you'll figure out the combinations that work and the ones that don't, like most TD games.
Be prepared to get frustrated when the mobs break through your defenses!

You get an incredible amount of content for such a small price, you'd be brainDEAD not to buy this!
But seriously, the gameplay is solid once you figure out the mechanics. The UI is alittle rough around the edges and honestly, I wish the game was twice the price because it's a great concept that could benefit greatly from more refinement.
