Don't think Doom or Quake, think Painkiller or Serious Sam. It looks a bit like the newer Doom game, but it really plays much more like Painkiller. It's fast paced, the weapons make sense and the levels are designed okay with a bit of exploration to be had. For under a fiver there's really nothing to complain about here... except for the really adolescent try hard one liners that are beyond cringe.

Edit: Game ran fine at the time I wrote the review, but it started to crash constantly since then. Really a buggy mess. Not even sure I can finish the (short) campaign. Wouldn't recommend to get it until it gets fixed.

I usually don't base my recommendation of a game on just one annoyance, but this game deserves it. Somehow the devs thought it's a great idea to have the unplaced puzzle pieces float around in water with koi fishes and other junk. There are options to turn most of that off, but they do not save. So every time you open the puzzle you have to change multiple options. Each and every time. People complain about this for over 4 years and the devs happily release new DLC while this simple quality of life feature isn't implemented. Otherwise the game is quite okay, but nothing special.

Eh, for the price it's okay. The 'chess' mode is pretty bad (just jigsaws shaped vaguely like chess pieces), but otherwise the jigsaws are fine. There are only 6 of them though, but with 4 different amounts of pieces and the option to turn rotation on and off it offers just enough variety for the asking price.

The game feels like a slog. The other games in the series have a certain balance in them, but this one just feels tedious and dragged out. Would not recommend.

Only buy this if you are interested in extremely tedious jigsaw puzzles. Especially 'BBQ Skewers' is just a pain to solve.

The first 15 minutes are fun and then... well, I really got bored very fast. You are told to find 'donation boxes' and that's it. Then you run around picking up a few items until your pouch is full and... nothing. I found a building that I could not enter and fought two monsters before I lost interest. The start seems to hint at something cool, but then you are left exploring the world. Which would be fine if it would be interesting to do so. Sadly it is not.

15 bucks for 4 'quests' (which are in new areas, but on existing planets) and a new raid boss. That's it. The mysteries aren't that bad, but the price for them is. This is worth a fiver, not more.

Not quite as good as the second, but still a fun looter shooter. The antagonists are pretty annoying (without the redeeming humour that Handsome Jack offered) and some of the platforming bits are terrible. Otherwise it's what you would expect. Some achievements are very buggy (you need to jump into co-op games and pray they unlock). Recommended if you liked the other Borderlands.

Meh, I guess the game is fun if you like selling your loot in your own shop figuring out at which price. For me it's just a bit too bland and a bit too cumbersome to deal with the 'aftermath' of each run. Looks and sounds nice though. If you are looking for a simple roguelike this game might be not for you (like it wasn't for me). Check out a let's play or something similar before buying.

Wow, this game turns a quite fun match 3 concept into a tedious grindfest for no reason. It's also 'funny' how the start of the game has quite a bit of story and then it just stops. The elements added (skills that you can improve, individual characters that you can use in certain levels to your advantage) make for a really interesting game, but adding levels that require you to make 16 (or more) specific matches in sequence just kill any fun playing this game.
