30 level of the most basic match three you can get. Granted they threw in some power ups/extras, but as far as I can tell they just randomly appear during the level. You can also get stuck (no more matches) after playing for 4+ minutes with no option to re-shuffle. There are so many better (match three) games out there. I'd say that it's not even worth the low base price, but if you really need an easy perfect game you might want to wait for a sale.

Really well balanced and fun match 3 game. The addition of a few hidden object and find the difference levels really mix things up nicely. Recommended for a fiver or even better on sale.

Had to give up on this one as the boring and forced ship travel and text screen fights are just too boring and tedious. Really loved PoE1 and was looking forward to play this game, but compared to the fortress management bore of the first game this mess of a lazy pirate simulation really put me off to play the game. Today I came back to try it again and after two almost ten minute long text sections 'cleverly' describing a naval battle (who thought this is a good way to implement this?) and losing all my repair material I just couldn't stomach to painfully slowly get back to a port to stock up on rations and material to just go through the same bore again.

Yes there is a great RPG to be found here, it's just hidden under a really badly implemented pirate ship simulator.

Cookie cutter hidden object game with passable presentation, but really lacking gameplay and story. The developers used the same minigame three times and locations mainly consist of 'find a key to find a key' point and click sequences. It's okay if you can get it in a bundle and don't mind a very bland and shallow game, but for 15 € it's a bad joke.

Not a bad game, but the difficulty of the enemies on normal is way too high. Hit a brick wall in world two and after twenty tries with different tactics still couldn't beat the level. You have to have really fast reflexes and get lucky to just get past that level. The fact that the enemy can interrupt your own attempts to match four or more tokens (required to perform specials) makes it a really frustrating experience.

I liked the story and presentation (even if it's quite simple) up to that point though and if you are looking for a challenging Match 3 experience this might be for you. If you are looking for a relaxing game though I'd rather look elsewhere.

Did I buy the original on Steam? Yes. Did it suck that there was no discount for the new edition? Yes. Did that take away one bit of fun to play this one? No.

Here's the deal: I got it when it was on sale with the silly Duke Nukem thingy for under 10 €. I got the original for 5 € before it was removed. So I'm good with how much money I spend for the game. Because this game (in either version) is one hell of a ride :)

There are sadly too less FPS that are just fun to play and even well known series *cough DNF and SS3* are just not as good as they used to be. So this little gem really shines bright. It's a fun ride from start to finish with well designed locations and visuals that hold up pretty well.

So... that all being said it's still a bad business move to sell this version for 40 $/37 €. If you haven't played the game yet wait for another sale and grab it then. It's surely worth a tenner for the 4 to 5 hour ride you'll get out of it.

Pretty great game that does what you expect it to do and then adds the cream and the cherry on top.

I'll just get the elephant out of the room and say it: It's an updated Baldur's Gate. There's a bit of flavour change in the attributes and spells, but the whole thing works out pretty much the same. Which is great, because that's why most of us are here.

So... what's to say about this game then? Well, it has great voice acting and looks really lovely in its isometric high res glory. The music is beautiful too and the effects are neat. There's a lot of interesting NPCs and the quests for the most part are very well written.

Is there a negative angle? Well, there's the whole Kickstarter business. I get it, but an achievement for it? The golden NPCs and the burial plates are not too bad, the loading screen where they thank their backers is fine, but that achievement really reeks. It shouldn't affect gameplay at all and while achievements are 'not important' it's still not okay to hand out one exclusively for Kickstarter backers.

Other than that there's really only a few minor things to complain about. Like the soulbinding thing requirements being a bit silly and things like that, but that's really not important.

If you like RPGs and/or well written games do yourself a favour and get this one.

Starts out great with lots of interesting events and ways to play the game. The story is intriguing and the slow exploration of the environment is emphasized by the stealth mechanics of the enemies. It's not actually horror, but a whole lot of suspense.

Sadly the game dwindles down into a 'constant threat' and 'have some more busy work' simulator later. You get more and more incoming calls that ask you to do this and that while the whole station turns into running the gauntlet. What made the game fun to play for me is just striped away and you are left with an underwhelming arsenal and a hard to navigate map maze.

Could have been really good, but trying to up the action ante really didn't work in this game.

The game starts great and feels interesting. It also looks and sounds very pleasant and exploring the bit of world you get is great. After a while the game adds more 'complexity' to the crafting and researching which means you go into a grinding loop to get to the next step in an ever expanding system. I tried to keep up with it, but eventually when the donkey that brings you fresh corpses asked me to grow/buy carrots the micro-management overload reached my breaking point. This game could be lots of fun if it would just make getting anywhere feel a bit/a lot less grindy.

Maybe they rebalance the game as I'm not the only one that complains about it. Until then I won't recommend the game.

I'll keep it short: This is a simple, MMORPG-ish game that offers a lot to explore and a quite decent story for little money if you get it on one of the 80% sales. Don't expect it to be Witcher or Skyrim and you'll have quite some light hearted fun with it. Won't recommend getting it for the full price though.
