Hi there!
Thanks for visiting my Steam profile, here's some stuff about what's going on:

My 𝕋𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕔𝕙 schedule is sort of in flux as I get back to the routine but feel free to follow the channel if you like. We can all experience the depths of the backlog together whenever I go live. :crtstar:

In the meantime I've been writing reviews of my Steam catalog, you can check out the 𝓕𝓾𝓷𝓴𝔂 𝓙𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓹𝓮𝓷𝓸𝓼 curation page for listed games. From there, you can click follow to see any new reviews I post appear on your Steam activity page or on the store pages of any games I've reviewed. Exciting, right?:winter2019surprisedyul:

But wait, there's more! I do have Steam reviews of υηℓιѕтє∂ gαмєѕ that can't be added to the curation page if you're inclined for some extra reading.:winter2019surprisedsnowman:

Last but not least, if you want to add me as a friend on other platforms or see what I'm playing outside of Steam, check out my page on the Infinite Backlog [infinitebacklog.net].

The finale of the Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy, Arkham Knight had some horrible PC issues at launch that have been resolved. Looks amazing even now, runs really well with a lot of content even if the main villain is a little bland. Don't use the bat-mobile like it's Burnout Paradise and you'll be fine.

Halloween night falls upon Gotham City nine months since the events of Arkham City, and the peace that Batman has worked to maintain has been shattered to pieces by Scarecrow. His deployment of Fear Gas has pushed the city to evacuate its citizens and forces what's left of GCPD to struggle to maintain order as Scarecrow works to cripple the city and unmask Batman. Of course Scarecrow isn't alone and the playing field has changed with the appearance of the Arkham Knight, a new adversary with a private military force at his disposal with a grudge to see Batman suffer. The other villains won't sit idly by and have their own plans for Gotham even after the events of Arkham City, with moments that will leave Batman to question his sanity.

Rocksteady does a great job of using the generational leap to really let this rogues' gallery shine to spectacular effect. Facial animation is really well done in cut-scenes and main character models have an incredible amount of detail. The cities districts and other locations each feel like they have a personality more than ever with places like Panessa Studios, referencing the eras of cinema in Gotham City to the mix of high-tech and noir influences in the GCPD Building, you'll be hard-pressed to find a location that doesn't feel hand-crafted on an expert level.

Jumping right in, the combat system will be instantly familiar for anyone who's played the other Arkham games. As always, the right timing and variety in your combos will go a long way in gaining experience points. The predator system hasn't really changed too much with more variety going into take-down options. These can really turn the tide on higher difficulty so plan wisely.

The biggest addition here is the Batmobile, the driving mode is what you'd expect but handles well and has a look that sort of between The Tumbler from The Dark Knight & The Batmobile from Superman vs Batman. The more controversial 2nd mode changes things up a lot, you can transition to its combat mode at will which controls sort of like a nimble tank. Some players took issue with it and I think it's because they think it should control like Need for Speed rather than its own thing. One thing to mention is that the combat encounters for the Bat-tank can happen a little too frequent at times, switching between main story and side activities can help alleviate that.

Side content varies depending on what you find interesting, the side villains are the highlight with unique environments, stories, & combat scenarios. They'll also have different dialog depending on when you do them, especially if you save them after completing the endgame. You'll of course have the Riddler trophies to get with varying degrees of challenge, AR missions for Bat-tank, & some racing missions that all help to give the impression that the city is one giant puzzle.

Enemies are what you'd expect depending on which villain you're facing off. Much like Arkham City, most of them are largely the same early on with costume or different melee weapon changes that reflect their faction. Henchmen AI has been improved on higher difficulties so think fast and plan accordingly if you're looking for a real challenge.

Batman: Arkham Knight had a terrible PC launch with performance issues across the board and WB having to take over to clean up the port by Iron Galaxy. Fast forward over 5 years later and things couldn't be better with Rocksteady recently patching out the WBPlay account system & Denuvo DRM. With a relatively decent GPU, it looks fantastic and is well optimized short of a few dated NVIDIA features. Feel free to use the in-game benchmark to see what works for your system.

I'll also mention that there is a fairly long comic book tie-in series that's actually pretty good as well as an animated movie. I wouldn't say these are a requirement but they do add to the backstory which can feel a bit lacking in certain moments. The season pass also does a decent job of it but I'll save my thoughts on that in a separate review.

It's a great time to jump into the finale of the Arkham trilogy. Some might find the controls of the Bat-Tank to be divisive but you get used to it quickly enough. I also don't think the Arkham Knight ends up being the best antagonist, YMMV on how familiar you are with other Batman material. In the end this Dark Knight returns to rise above even a lot of games that come out today, Batman: Arkham Knight sees the trilogy off with a bang and is well worth your time.

Any possible way you can make a GFWL Sign in guide for Gta IV? I see people still playing online but can't get GFWL to work
