I cannot recommend the game in the current state, a state not likely to change (except the music bug hopefully).

-Still no evolution or innovation from Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded released in 2009, despite having several games with the "Alien Shooter 2" name. If you're wanting something new and fresh, this isn't it. It's still the same graphics, same assets, same enemies, same guns, similar leveling up and shop system, same music, same sound effects, etc.. If anything it's a downgrade by having less stuff, which was their point true, to go "back to our roots". Go back? You've never innovated or changed significantly since 2009!
-The absolute worst collision detection in these games yet. You are constantly getting stuck on geometry and objects. So are the enemies. You could ignore it in the previous games, but here it's too much. Did they even test this?
-The game is bugged for me and the music never plays and I beat the first 2 levels.
-The spelling and grammar is also the worst yet. So many native English speakers enjoy your games, most of us would proof read for free if we got our name in the credits. There's no excuse.
-Secrets, at least in the first 2 levels, took no effort to find them all. They were all "hiding" in the open. Previous games had them hidden well. It might change in the later levels.

Do not buy unless you are a super die hard fan of the franchise, although this game might make you stop being a fan. I will not buy their next game unless there are serious upgrades and innovation to the gameplay. As it is just replay the old titles, even the original Alien Shooter.

Biggest FAX of a review. I feel bad hating their games because I grew up playing them non stop. but wtf are these games nowadays

Yeah. Oh well, we've still got the older games.

Sigma has the most confusing mess of library.

Some games they have budget for, but some they are milking. It's like they want to create mobile games only but have to milk PC fanbase to fund those mobile games over and over again.

So every few months or years they throw out same garbage with new title and rotated/recolored pre-rendered assets. Let's not forget the fact that they NEVER actually fix majority of issues in their games. They just release it like they're Bethesda with army of modders to fix their broken games. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

It's just pathetic.

"I've been buying Sigma games before they were on Steam."

Same. Remember Theseus: Return of the Hero? Always been disappointed that's not on Steam.

Haha, they quietly deleted my comment on a thread about the game, talking about its faults. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Bad idea. I've been buying Sigma games before they were on Steam.

I also have not bothered reviewing their games on Steam despite the crap they've been pulling for a while. Now they'll earn negative reviews on everything I've avoided reviewing, to support them.

Not purchasing any game from them in the future as well.

Anyone who has followed Sigma knows how creatively bankrupt they've been for years, just repackaging their garbage and somehow making it worse every time, even visually. No point in supporting developer like these.

"The truth is they are creatively bankrupt."

You don't know how much I completely agree on that, lmao.

I recommend you folks check out BDSM. Reminds me a lot of Alien Shooter, but completely different setting. https://sp.zhabite.com/steamstore/app/669950/BDSM_Big_Drunk_Satanic_Massacre/

More fun with the adult patch, but if that stuff offends you don't install it.

in the past they are the god of this genre. now, they are just making shit.

absolutely. I would love to see a proper Alient shooter game EVEN IN 2d ! I like the art style a lot ! But somehow you know... modernized, better textures, better support for higher resolutions and all that. It cant be that hard !!

They claim they don't have the funds to innovate but that's just an excuse. They've been using the exact same assets for over a decade. The games play out almost exactly the same. The truth is they are creatively bankrupt. Roguelites are popular right now. Imagine if they got together with another indie team and made one in the Alien Shooter universe?
