Its Two point hospital in space, its just a very dull experience.

There is zero difficulty in this game. You do the same thing basically in every map. You don't need to worry about the money, training, staff or anything. You just put down the same rooms, put 3 piece of decor in them, a window and you statisified most of the alien desires. Then you hire a trainee because it makes zero difference what kind of staff you have as a trainee will become a "full fledged expert" after 5 minutes of gametime. I haven't built a single training facility or research since the tutorial. They are useless.

Now there is a solid core here, runs well. They just need to add either some complexity or difficulty to it. Price is alright, you gonna have some fun playing through the story i am at like chapter 7 or 8.

I am just not sure i am having fun or just progress for the sake of progress.

Lets hope they patch it, improve upon it.

Hi [REDACTED],

Thanks for playing the game and for the feedback. I've discussed this a little recently in the forums and indeed the game's tuning right now is weighted much more towards the casual spectrum. That's a large part of the target audience, people who are looking to chill, build and watch the ant farm come about and experience the story as you do.

Like yourself I'm someone who likes a bit more bite in my management games, the same is in fact true of the creative director as well. I don't think we could blame you if you're more challenge inclined to take issue with where the game is currently.

Largely the core game is about where we're hoping it would be, we may make adjustments and tweaks but for us it's important it remains accessible. However as I said you're not alone in wanting something with a bit more bite.

Since release we've started talking about where to take Galacticare next, amongst those is early concepts for a more challenging experience. What that looks like exactly is still up in air right now, but rest assured we have all the levers we need to adjust how the game behaves and give it a bit more of that well desired "bite".

I can't promise exactly when this might be, there's even always a possibility the ideas will never make it live. However the more members of the community who talk to us and let us know it's something they're interested in the easier it becomes to justify that work.

So yeah, again thank you for giving us a try and I totally understand your concerns. I hope that the future of Galacticare will have an experience that you find enriching and enjoyable.

Cheers,

Lee
