Decent, Buggy, Poorly Written and far too short for a $60 game, glad I got it as a part of the humble choice bundle.

Update: Developer if you fix the game, I will flip my review in the opposite direction. Prove me and everyone else who voted against recommending this game wrong, seriously, I see the potential.

For now however, my review still stands. You didn't even answer as to why the game was sold as an open world, yet is a round based game with little object persistence between rounds as it's all lost when you die, making the game all or nothing.

===================================================================

Sold as an open world survival game, but it's a freaking horde game which is honestly so freaking disappointing. When playing single-player there's literally no way to get a breather to take advantage of the combination system as there is always zombies on top of you. This could be remedied by objectives or a single button that started the next hoard with an automated mode on the side for those who want no change.

In it's current state with the developers only focusing on the Oculus quest store version rather than the steam one, I would NOT give them the money for this game.

The girl on the cover is more entertaining than the actual game itself.

Don't judge a book by it's cover!

Without saying much, this game clocks in at about six hours. It's worth the play, trust me, this game is a great starting point for people just getting into VR as well as VR Veterans.

It's a game that progressives call "art" because the developer had a meltdown in the steam updates over pronouns.

Not all games are art, nor does someone deserve a golden accommodation because they can't keep their twitter and business activities separate.

This game isn't art, but it's a great game created by a developer who I have supported financially for two of their previously created games (Lost in Vivo, Spooky's House of Jump-scares)

However, after their meltdown, and the reaction of a progressive mob that can't handle criticism (go figure) I probably won't buy another game from this developer.

And that's okay, life goes on and someone will replace me.

But, in place of anything else, this review will remain as a stark reminder to caution the tumultuous waters that is indie games. Seems like people are far too up in arms over making a statement rather than enjoying what they have in life.

I love this game, but the developers are clearly stretching it for all it's worth. Instead of optimizing the game and making sure the DLC doesn't for any reason cause the game to lag any further, they have thrown every line in the water to milk further into the money their customers can give them.

As much as I like this game and have enjoyed it (22 hours dude), I cannot with clear conscious recommend this game to anyone until the developers stop releasing every form of DLC they can and instead focus on optimizing what the game currently has to offer.

For no reason should this game, nor buying the airstrip DLC cause the base game to suffer performance wise.

Early Access Review
The developers literally have a boner for changing in game systems that you JUST got used to once every year. There's no point in buying it a the direction of the game has shifted oh so many freaking times so far it is impossible to keep good footing on how the game is or will be in the future.

Save your money up and get Project Zomboid instead, it literally hasn't had nearly as many system overhauls as this game has when it comes to foundational changes.
