I'm writing this review just because you may be interested into this, since the game is included in a few bundles here and there even today, so it may be helpful to some of you.

The game is not that bad, but it has a huge game-breaking problem, but before to talk about it, first a quick introduction.

Tinytopia is a very simple city builder, So simple, that it can actually be a mobile game without problems. All you have to do, is to place building here and there in order to reach some objectives. You finish the mission and then you go to the next map, with another objective. That's it.
In order to build your city and reach the objective, you have to build residential and commercial zones, which consists in a "modular building" of each house, shop or office, for example. That means that you got a few blueprints (office lv.1, lv.2, etc..) made by several structures. Here, there is the most problematic issue you will have in the game: you cannot copy/paste those blueprints in any way, so if you spend for example 3 minutes to build an house lv.6 (like a skyscraper, for example), that means you will have to do that again, and again, and again for each house of that type you want to place in the city.. and that's a tremendous waste of time.
Just imagine if you have an objective that tells you to reach 1500 population, and each house of that type adds 70 of population... you are forced to do the same actions dozens of times for hours.. in order to reach that objective. And believe me... it gets BORING and FRUSTRATING, especially because is not easy to place building on top of others.

The issue is well discussed in the forum, and in one of those threads, a dev responded in 2021 saying that they acknowledged the issue.. but they never did anything to fix or improve the game.

So yeah, can't recommend this to anyone. Also, last update of this game is 29 Nov 2021 as today.

The concept is good. Really good. And I really wanted to like this game.. but there are a few things I really don't like.

Explaining the game in a few words, you basically have to defend your kingdom from multiple enemies coming from portals places on left and right sides. That's it.
So you start building your "kingdom", placing a few defences here and there, recruiting archers and builders, etc.. and at some points the monsters attack your kingdom, and you've to defend it.

The thing that I really don't like.... is that you have NO CONTROL of anything! You cannot predict where an attack is coming from (left or right), and you cannot give any kind of orders to your troops. This means that if an archer or a builder, or any ally you have is on the path of the monsters, he will get KILLED, and there is nothing you can do about it.

What let me stop trying to continue with this game, is that at the end of an attack, I went to recruiting 2 more soldiers on the same side of the attack that just finished, and then marked 2 trees for the builders. I did this because I thought it would be smart to give orders in this way so they have time to return to the kingdom safely in time.
Yeah.. what a fool I was. The soldiers I recruited of course need to slowly walk to the kingdom, and they didn't do that in time. Same for the builders. After an entire day, another attack came.. and the monster killed them all, and again, I couldn't do anything about it.

I cannot attack, I cannot work on a good timing, I cannot plan anything. Is this game based on luck or what?
I was pretty confused.... maybe I didn't find the right strategy? But yeah. I had enough, not for me!!

Hope the other chapters are not the same!

"A game that feels more like a lecture on social ideals than an epic space adventure."

I admit it.
I bought instantly this DLC just because I had a lot of fun with the base game, and I thought this DLC would be a great excuse for me to return to play the game but... I soon realised that the DLC is extremely overpriced for what it offers.. and I'm also very disappointed with the update 1.4 that was released on the same day.

I'll probably consider to buy it again at -75%.

You need to fire whoever made this UI, and make it from scratch. After that, this could be a very good game indeed.

An absolute masterpiece for people who love strategy games, developed by amazing devs that really care about their product and its community.

Enough said! <3

Unfortunately, this game is not for me:

1) It's an mmo, it means you cannot play in single player in any way.
2) It's a PAY 2 WIN game. Money here are used to speed up things, you can also try to avoid that.. if you like to wait ages for each single thing you do. But remember.. while you wait, the others may decide to spend money and become better than you...
3) To play a game, you have to wait hours and days of REAL time. You cannot do much until that moment.
4) There is no audio of any kind.

Let me know devs if you will make a single player game just like this. Until then.. I cannot recommend this game to anyone.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS. Don't encourage this system.

It's a gooood game... but...

1) DENUVO, of course.
2) After all these years, is still bugged! You won't be able to do many quests because of them. Also it crashed randomly sometimes, but nothing serious!
3) Extreme need of micro managing resources. Step by step, you need to be careful of what your people need.. otherwise, you will go quickly in deficit and you'll lose the game.
4) Campaign will only last 10 hours, after that, it's SANDBOX mode!
5) Many things are not explained.. so arm yourself of a lot of patience if you want to enjoy this game!
6) Terribly overpriced!!!!!!

Having said that, again, it's one of the best games made for the ANNO series, but mainly for DENUVO , the price and the bugs, I've to give a thumbs down. Anno 1404 is still my favourite, by the way!
