Simon Jarrett waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were robots in the facility. He didn’t see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Cernel Joson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Simon was a space marine for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to dad “I want to be on the ships daddy.”
Dad said “No! You will BE KILL BY ROBOTS”
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the under water base of Upsilon he knew there were robots.
“This is Joson” the radio crackered. “You must fight the robots!”
So Simon gotted his palsma rifle and blew up the wall.
“HE GOING TO KILL US” said the robots
“I will shoot at him” said the biggest robot and he fired the rocket missiles. Simon plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
“No! I must kill the robots” he shouted
The radio said “No, Simon. You are the robots”
And then Simon was a robot.

No matter what, there will always be friends to help you. No matter what mistakes you make.

But can you ever really forget what you've done?

I decided to rewrite my review to actually be a review.

So primarily: what is Articy, and who would want to use it?

Articy is a game and story design tool (operative word: design. There are some things you can do with the export tools, but it is for the most part an outlining tool, not an actual development tool.) used to outline and plan player/plot interactions and events. It can be used as broadly or as specific as is required for the project, and is flexible enough for just about any type of project.

The second question is one of the more common questions regarding high-priced software like this. Why would I want this for that price; what would it have to do for me to buy it at that price?

This is most certainly not for the average user. This is for something that has a lot of different assets that need to be organized in one concise place. For example, a story-rich game, or an asset-rich game, a visual novel, an elaborate tabletop game; even a regular novel can all be organized using this tool. If you think you yourself 'why do I need this if I can just use wordpad or openoffice/ms word?' when you read about this program, then your project isn't big enough to require software like this and you shouldn't buy it lest you waste $100-200 on something you'll never use.

The main issues, if you still feel this software might be useful to you, involve a lack of autosave (in the works, allegedly, but I'm pretty sure nevigo works on valvetime), some clunky ui features that take getting used to, and a somewhat poor asset interface that gets confusing when asset numbers get large; even just small thumbnails would be useful. The templates you use to define different aspects of items or characters could use with more effective design that makes it easier to customize parts of it.

Overall, if you need this software, then you'll know it. If you're not sold on the idea, then it's probably just not very useful for your purposes, and there's no point to buying it.

Dinosaurs have incosistent health values. On certain levels, dinosaurs spawn with 0 hp, and one shot will kill them. Asia is the primary level this happens in. The 'sniper' and the 'pistol' have the same damage value until you get the sniper upgrade, and the pistol fires faster, so there's no reason to not use it. Terrain doesn't matter; there's no hitboxes for the terrain so you can shoot right through everything. Yes, you guessed it: this is a de_cache simulator.

Dinosaur hitboxes are cubes.

Every 'mission' gives 50 coins regardless of how difficult (read: tedious) it was. Most of the weapons cost thousands if not tens of thousands of coins, and the amount of grind required is unfun. I tried to sneak into the files to adjust my coin values, but I couldn't find a save file and I don't know how to mess around with unity.

Ammo is pointless since it's free, but is probably just there because the dev didn't know how to remove it from a preset asset.

There's no music. Stock sound effects.

Firearm animations are fine, which means they're probably stolen. However, it has the typical problems firearm animations do when designers make assets without actually knowing how to shoot a firearm. Primarily, misunderstandings with how the charge handle works. But whatever, it's not important in the scheme of things.

Levels range from too large to too small.

Zombie level is dumb.

Mouse cursor stays on screen, so playing windowed is impossible, and I had to be careful with my second monitor.

The kill cam animations work from a certain distance. Once you're up close, (I think from about 30-40 meters, but I didn't check) they stop happening, so sniping is impossible and takes far too long.

I didn't try any of the other firearms because they're too expensive.

Interesting quote by the developer on the forums: "2. Regarding if it is a crap or NOT - that's the best I can do at moment. So as I really really lack negotiations skills, I'll put this as soft and calm as I can: Do NOT like it, Do NOT BUY IT."

Not how it works, buddy.

In summary, I could give someone fifty cents to let me suck their ♥♥♥♥ and I would have more fun in ten minutes than I did with this game in half an hour.

Kan Gao's latest work which I neglected to play until just now, A Bird Story is a short wordless story about loneliness, loss, and freedom.

Certainly not as strong as To The Moon was, but A Bird Story seems to shine as a teaser and a prequel to a coming work by Gao which I eagerly await. A Bird Story is certainly worth a go, but by no means should one expect the same level of depth as TTM.

I'm not really sure if this is cpu intensive or what, but it just doesn't run very well in the background on my laptop. It makes everything else lag while it's open, so I just can't leave it open.

Also, I mean.. you could just buy real succulents. They have them at supermarkets for like $5 max. They also need to be watered less, and don't take cpu power to exist.

Unless we're all in a computer, then they are taking cpu power. What if a real succulent on your desk is making someone's computer run poorly because it's growing them in real time? I bet if your apartment or whatever was just a single instance, then anything non-living wouldn't take much cpu power to simulate, except succulents. Those succulents would seriously cause problems. Like, if you got a bunch, would the simulation crash? Maybe we just don't notice it rebooting. Maybe that's deja vu. Or is that why all my succulents keep dying?
It's probably just that I forget to water them. That's what happened to my mint plant too. Mint plants are good to have if you have cats, though, they like them.

In short, it's cool that it's free, but if it makes my laptop (a rather nice one, may I add, no integrated bs here) run poorly while it's growing in the background then I just can't let it go.

But, the snail.. maybe it's just the snail. It seems like a pretty advanced simulation, after all. What if the snail has thoughts of its own?

Anmeldelse for emne med tidlig adgang
By some, nay, divine source- thine efforts find thyself fruitless in search, to find the end of a tunnel, blank in circumstance, than it is to walk the tunnel for all days? Would it that thy host find thy blood spilled by some divine, or daemonic, source?

Narcissus stares into the pool and in reflection bears a beautiful figure, and thine own eyes stare into the pool and see only falsity. Are the two one and also the same, or is truth gilded? Not by gold, but gems, sparkling in immense grandeur befit the crown of caesar, or his descendents, the kaiser, the kings, and the czars.

Doeth any blood need be spilled to sate truth? Can one, or many, find augury in peace? Doeth there require conflict to create resolution? Canst resolution be found in peace?

Thy words, dear companion, are heavy in principle, but light in action. That delicious wheat, reaped from the garden of peace and digested by those not worthy. If gods create, then shant we use such things? It would be a shame for the efforts and blossoming of creation to go untouched by men and women who may appreciate the worth of such things.

So, I beg of you: do not falter amongst the wheat of the knowledge of good and evil, but partake with jealousy, so that you may know the truth. Take such things and grind them, take the seeds and reproduce. Make the yeast and leve the bread so that all may see past the curtain of falsity.

The gods cannot stop us, for in the truth of the wheat is the truth of their own nature.
