honestly and shamefully bought this game back at launch making me a Preferred Player(tm) but can say I've spent more time trying to download the millions of bad patches that all download at 5% my max speed than actually playing the game becuase it's a dull, weak mmo copypat trying to be the fantastic reboot of WoW's formula that FFXIV was while forgetting everything that makes it special and diversifying off of that.

I hear several of the storylines are compelling enough for playthroughs at least. Prepare to have whatever headcanon you had for KoTOR replaced by nonsense, though.

I think it's a hard pass to anyone who hasn't given to a go yet.
If you can bear fantasy vs science fantasy, please just play FFXIV, or at least PSO2. They're actually good games.

Very similar to the rest of Hasekura's work, and much like Spice & Wolf VR, is rather short but sweet. Hasekura writes in a very simple manner akin to ordinary day to day conversations which makes it feel personable. I feel if this medium evolved from this, to even minorly interactive (moving arms about even would make this conversation style VR visual novel much more immersive) and lengthier experiences (2-3 hours, like a movie, would probably be ideal) we might have a seriously cool genre on our hands.

As is, I would only recommend this to people who are fans of Hasekura, and also only on sale. $25 for an hour or maybe 1.5 hours is still too much.


Also, unlike S&W VR, there's no quality options. Please let me turn off the bloom, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, SO MUCH BLOOM

there is a slight suicide theme near the end which is frankly lampshaded, so while the act of suicide is committed, it's kind of a bad cop out. the 'good' ending is imo the 'bad' ending, despite what it means, and I think this is an inherent flaw on Hasekura's work; it always has to end out good in the end. The bad ending feels more like 'me'. The good ending feels... wrong.

I had a great experience overall, minus the 'good' end. It was fun.

got it to snipe charlie and now i spent 2 hours watching the global chat turn into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of people who actually weren't bots hackusating someone with a 20 k/d and then calling out people being carried all while random cr1tikal viewers and other bots just said single word posts or spammed the same stuff.

also: the game is mostly bots, we saw them literally spawn in, but it still helps my ego to look at my winrate and kd while slapping the 1 other human player.

unfortunate for people on mobile tbh if this is crossplay, we'll all look like cheaters using a mouse.

pls remove the supports vr label it doesnt support vr and i was very sad.

good game otherwise but infinity is better anyway

not being super familiar with carlin I still found this to be a great artistic verbose commentary history combined mini-podcast to be very compelling and while sometimes it came off as if the hard stops were in the wrong places, the frustrating part is that i think a lot more could have been done within even just the framework here- accentuating shellshock or the introduction of chlorine was essential and very underdone

either way not being familiar with carlin's style I still enjoyed it and I very much am definitely curious of how he does something lengthier and will look at his free work

on sale, it was worth it as a simple nice 15 min audiobook, but that's all it is really, with one good 3d scene if any at all

incredibly cute game that delivers exactly what it promises. probably criminally underreviewed and underexposed.

however, key point of critcisms, lacks the domestic violence of my childhood in favor of christmas tree disagreements, would like more realism thank you. (very sad /sarcasm)

i really like this :) living in so cal makes looking at the night sky tough but this is very relaxing and nice even without going into specific details

Seems like a great game. I really wanted to try and get deeper into it. But a fair warning to anyone with shoulder injuries that cause daily issues: this is easily the most shoulder intense game I've played on VR so far, no melee combat comes close, pistol whip isn't close, this is the bar for shoulder and arm strain. I have fractured both my shoulders and still feel it, but hoped maybe it wouldn't be as bad as I thought. I can barely do normal mode without feeling sore immediately.

I can't criticize the game, but I can be sad. Refunded, but with good intentions.

spice and wolf is still my most beloved series and even being short (tho bought on sale, doubt its seriously worth $25 even considering the following) is sufficiently nostalgic and wholesome enough to make me smile.
also you can pet her tail

i really liked sausage parties before, but i like them even more with a bunch of detailed guns too
