Positives:
*Story: Amazing and intriguing with major plot twists towards the end that make it even more insane.
*Collectibles: You get bonus points that can be used to unlock some decent bonus content.
*Length: Fairly long game; you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Negatives:
*Poor Graphics: Even this is a remaster of a 2005 game, its graphics look very outdated and worse than one would expect from a 2015 remaster.
*QTE: The majority of this game's gameplay consists of two quick time event types--one involves selecting the correct direction with your arrow keys and WASD, and the other is pressing the D and A keys as fast as possible. The first type is sometimes enjoyable, although it quickly gets repetitive. The second type, however, is spamming as fast as possible, which, as you might imagine, is extremely repetitive and frankly ridiculous.
*While there is controller support, input type must be manually switched in the pause menu because the game only allows one input type at a time. Both types of controls are also not great.

Conclusion: While this game certainly has some major shortfalls, due to the incredible story and the abundance of gameplay, this game is worth picking up.

There always seems to be some confusion as to what a "remaster" is. A remaster is basically an upscale and work done to make older stuff work properly on a modern OS. Nothing more, nothing less. It's a little more intensive than a straight up port, like what GOG does with older games, and nowhere near as comprehensive as an actual from the ground remake. The textures and the resolution have been upscaled, which makes this look quite a bit more modern than the original. Just look at the ported original on GOG for example to see how much better this version looks.

All that is just a pet peeve of mine, though. I liked your review, I agree with basically all of it. I played this game back when it came out in the States as Indigo Prophecy, and I loved it back then. It doesn't hold up as well now, but it's still a fun game worth playing. Good job, glad you enjoyed it!
