It took a LONG time, but the game is actually worth playing now. It takes more of what felt right from the Endless series and fixed several of the bugs that were present. The war score/war support system has also improved from launch and don't end up with consistent endless wars despite occupying cities and destroying enemy armies left and right.

I don't think this ended up being the Civ Killer it was expected to be but it is no longer a broken mess. The balance seems heavily skewed to production civs above the others, but that often feels like the meta in many 4x games.
