I wish i could write a positive review but simply cannot for 1 reason. There are some instances in the game including DLC where there are a lot of flashing lights/strobe effects and off putting animations. If you have epilepsy or have photosensitive epilepsy do not get this at all!
I fell in love with the game and brought all of the DLC to support the dev team but as i'd finished the base game content and wanted to challenge myself further with the additional difficulty, the increased health of bosses make fights last longer which means the flashing lasts longer. On the first playthrough with some effort put in on your characters you can melt the last boss so dont really see the flashing however on the higher difficulty battles will last minutes, minutes of torture for those with sensitivity to the flashing lights.

You need to use cheats to mess around with lighting and if im honest i have no idea if they would work in the actual game, you get penalised for enabling cheats and i believe they disable steam achievements which to some are nice little accolades for effort put in. I dont think you should be punished if its a feature that should be added to the base game.

I would happily replay this and absolutely give it a positive review if they added a toggle button for flashing lights and the effects in the Sembrance area of the DLC, those who have played will know what im on about.
I could easily see myself sinking thousands of hours into this but im annoyed with the time ive played to discover that i will personally be punished for playing a higher difficulty due to my epilepsy. We cant choose the hand we're dealt in life but for me its a real shame. The game has been out for several years so i doubt any feature like this will be added. Its a basic Quality of life addition which could be an easy patch im sure however i wont hold my breath.

Apologies for the negative review Crackshell but i supported the game and genuinely frustrated because of that and will no longer play if there are no plans at all to add a feature, I asked for help on discord and the steam discussions and some nice people have replied but using cheats isnt the way to go if you're punished.
As ive spent money to support the developers and brought all DLC it would be nice to receive a reply here if possible, i dont want to come across entitled as many others have brought the game/dlc but as a voice likely to be unheard it would be nice to hear back.
On steam someone asked about the flashing lights and this was back in 2019 and was apparently passed forward so please please look into this and if you have a yes or no please could you reply to me.
If a dev gets in touch with me i will change the review immediately as that is my only issue and i dont like to hate on hard working people who have a brilliant game. Sorry!

Its a nice little pack with a variety of different things including things such as wallpapers, video guides and even an artbook. If you enjoyed the game and want to support the developers then get the pack. Please note that the items are actual files which you need to find in the installation folder which is mentioned below in the description for this page.
Theres not much more to say other than this is to show your appreciation to the developers and in return you get a few bits and bobs. Brilliant game and i was happy to support them however i could and to me this was a no brainer.
Keep up the good work and updates coming!

I love this game!
Its priced very reasonably and for the game play i thoroughly enjoyed it.
It is very grindy like some others have mentioned but you can go at your own pace and if you make it through towards end end game items it gets much easier.
I took my time uncovering all of the map area and doing as many extra side quests and levelling as possible before tackling the main questline.
Its hard to give an accurate game review as many will disagree on certain aspects.

- I love the apocalyptic scenery and you get the feeling you're amongst it somehow.
- Campfires and link towers are a godsend and work well in the world to help navigate/fast travel
-Nearly everything in the world can be destroyed!
- Items that are destructible cannot be dysmantled if not using the proper tool and have to deal enough damage to match the hitpoints of obstacle.
- Grinding works well in this game (not for everyone)
- Coming back to areas with tools that obliterate stuff you couldnt destroy to get new materials is extremely satisfying.
- Some of the tomb puzzles were fun and easy and then theres some that were right F#####s so the balance and challenge is there.
- I love the collection screen which shows progress across the map/areas. I never bothered with it until finishing the main quest to see what i could do next.
I reckon theres a solid 80-100 hours of gameplay for those who want to take their time and play through to do everything, possibly quicker with a guide. If you're looking to speed through maybe 40 hours or something but hard to judge as im sure it could be done much quicker if you've beat the game before.

I want to say thanks to the developers for making a truly unique game which ive enjoyed. Only encountered 1 bug (which wasnt game breaking despite me thinking it was) and other than that ive had no issues at all.
I have a below average computer and it runs really well, loads quick and i have no performance issues at all when playing.

For me i want to give it a solid 10 out of 10. Its grindy but worth it if you stick with it and the game can be paused any time for dad duties, toilet breaks etc and not be punished. Just want to mention that i noticed developers are quite active in steam discussions so that must be good right? Developers passionate about a game?

I really wanted to leave a positive review for this dlc but i just couldn't for these reasons and i wish i could leave a mixed in between option but heres my thoughts.

-Its overpriced in my honest opinion (and i got it on sale for around £9 instead of £12.99).
-This dlc is quite short (can be longer depends on how you find the challenges and bosses)
- My game crashed frequently
-Opening the map or pausing the game would instantly make my game freeze for 5-10 seconds when entering Plover Island (truth seeker quest area)
- Enemies would sometimes glitch under the map but this didnt ruin the experience and only happened a few times
- Time trials involving bridges lol
- I thought the evolutions were pretty underwhelming unless i didnt use them correctly and i had no sense of feeling overpowered at all despite 100% completion. Bone everything comfortably got me through the game

Postives

+ The final boss is a pain in the Kardashian but satisfying when defeated
+ Time trials are a nice feature
+ More content for the base game is welcomed just needs to be priced right

If it was smooth and no performance issues id give this an 8/10 but for me its a 6.5/10 it was fun but not optimised very well.

Ive tried to be as fair as i can with this review. I understand people needed money throughout the worldwide pandemic and some people lost jobs and couldnt work etc. Not sure if this meant certain real life aspects to the dlc reflected on the price or whether they had planned to charge the price they did in the first place. I hope tripwire plan on adding more content and optimise where they can to make it much smoother.

Had this game sitting in my steam library for god knows how long. I regret not playing it sooner its like crack.
Once you know what you're doing you wont put it down. The music in the game is incredible and for a project made by a single yes a single developer you will be really shocked by how much there is to do in this game.

Concerned ape i want to say sorry for not playing this sooner its an incredibly well made game and i hope in the future you charge people for extra content as you have earned the right too! Yes folks he releases completely free updates in a game wheres theres enough content for around 80 hours gameplay id guess but that turns to 100's if you want to take your time and build and try out everything and not rush.
My partner got me playing this because of her nintendo switch which led to me buying 2 more copies for the ipad so my daughters could play.
Give the game a try and it might just surprise you. A game made with a lot of love and a friendly community what more could you ask for

After taking my time on the first map ive enjoyed this a lot! A few frustrating deaths to things other than the skinwalker itself but the developers got a good game here. Hope they add more maps and different monsters (possibly dlc content). Its had a few jump scares so far and for the price im very happy

Had this little gem sitting in my steam library untouched... I wish i played it a lot earlier its a brilliant game and i cannot praise the developers enough! I have finished all the base game content after around 25 hours and had a fun experience.

I dont currently have the DLC content but will definitely try and get it at a later date as i thoroughly enjoyed the puzzles and exploration.
To describe this game i would say its like the Legend of Zelda crossed with Slime rancher and i love those games.

Well done everyone on making this game i cannot praise you enough! I really hope one of the developers sees this and knows they've done a good job with this game. Had no crashes or performance issues its quite simply a well polished title with a lot of love put into the game, cant get my head round how they made the puzzles and such. When i have the spare cash i will support the devs if possible for the DLC but if you're looking for a good game and something memorable then play this you cannot go wrong :D

Taking your time it has around 6-7 hours of content and if you're trying to 100% it has 8-10 or slightly more for some of the harder tasks. I could not recommend this game enough! Its a breath of fresh air and although it might appear difficult at first it does get easier. Energy drinks are your friend and help when going back to levels you didnt finish 100%. My daughter watched me play this and showed me that the game is also on the appstore (IOS) so she played alongside me (up until the jumping spiders lol).
10/10 well done devs on this little game
